SCAM ALERT - Everyonedoesit.com - I was ripped off for $340

I am so stupid... having remembered so many good words about them from back in the day, I never checked newer reviews of edit before I decided to get that Hurricane I was eying... Well despite being "in stock" when I ordered it and getting confirmation (and immediately charged on my cc) I got a weird email from them re-confirming my bank, my phone number, my address (nothing I hadn't already given them). The emails were returned at a brisk pace

then I get the dreaded "back-ordered" email and immediately responded asking for a refund. I'm not waiting for weeks for a piece.

a week goes by with no response as I get increasingly nervous. email several times at all their email addresses, and nothing.

of course when they needed to try to delay my order with their stupid "confirmation of details" emails it was quick

I am now worried about identity theft and the fact I'll never see my money again

that hurts

I know it's only been two weeks but they never shipped anything, I just want the charges reversed....

I'll leave it open and update this. I have plenty of free time to harass them so I'm hoping the refund will come eventually. if not I'm fucked

^agreed, more people need to demand better service from these online companies. If you don't get the kind of service you deem reasonable then get your money back through your credit cards company. When they see that people are asking for their money back these companies will be forced to please their customer the first time. The credit card company doesnt lose money, the guy who scammed you does.

I spent 240 on EDIT and got my glass in 6 days. I definitely have never heard of them being scammers. Keep trying, do they have a phone number you could call? Ian, I've had experience doing that successfully but they certainly don't always do it, although they should. It depends on how much money you put on your card and how good your credit is. Basically, your value to them as a client. Which is a shame because they should treat all customers alike.

yeah i have friends who have spend over a total of $1000+ at EDIT and got every piece in perfect condition in the time frame they said they would. So just cause one order (that happend to be yours, shitty i know)
got fucked up there automatically scammers? give it time and keep emailing them. And like somebody said if worse comes to worse just call the CC company and dispute the charges and you should be golden..

no, I forgot to mention when I googled them this whole "order item in stock; receive email about it NOT in stock; delay forever on refund" scheme is hardly just my order. There are tons of complaints about their customer service just google "everyonedoesit scam" and you'll get a lot of results

they tend to shut off their replies once you ask for a refund

too many "lost" items that sound more like "ripoffs" or "never sent"

on top of shoddy QA or intentionally "forgetting" parts of orders

buyers beware

they USED to have a good rep, not so any more.

i was banned from their forum wen i was just at fledling smoker at bout 16, i was lured into an argument and revealed my age like a dumb fuck, but i was tricked i tell ye! i will forever bear a grudge!

however as i sidenote after the ban me and a good pal bought some mushrooms (pre criminalisation) and i had a great afternoon in a wardrobe :shock::lol: still hate them tho

the very first time i ordered seeds, I got them through drchronic..... about a week after my purchase, i had a $350 charge on my card that was completely bogus..... I let my card co. know about it, they "suspended" the purchase, and all was good.... dont let them fuck you over bro.

call CC company open a case to reverse charges---check mail write out what you told us and see your credit appear on the next statement. If the company is good you can finish the order however when tang Jaun tran Chen gets a letter from the Attorney from the fraud dept (free for you) and well he will crawl back under his rock Trust ME!

I finally got the refund, because I was a cranky asshole about it, but I hate doing that. I ended up having to buy an international calling card to speak to someone. Their customer service is very difficult to reach. I'd also be VERY careful about buying expensive glass from them... most of what they list as IN STOCK is probably NOT. You will either wait months for your piece or they are happy to just forget about your order completely. I will not be doing business with them again.

Should be top priority to get a hold of your credit card company, and tell em you felt you have been scammed, and wanted a refund and they will not contact you.

Ive done it before, dont wait another second.

yeah, thanks meng, but I actually got EDIT to issue the refund already.

I'd rather keep the bank out of it for certain reasons. Like my online gambling habits and large deposits of cash. no need for them to look any closer :roll:

the only thing i have orderd online when it came to marijuana paraphernalia was seeds...and its been all good..

when it comes to any type of papers , pipes , and bongs id rather just go down to my local head shop ya know..

i hope you get this worked out......:peace:

i agree with goten, its better to just drive whatever distance to the local headshop. even drive a few miles to get to one if you have to. im too untrusting too order anything off the internet

the availability of RCs might change that though....

Everyonedoesit.com USED to be an awesome and trustworthy site, but I think either they expanded too fast or fired most of their customer service, so they've gone downhill I think...
