So here is my current setup:
250 watt digital ballast (MH for veg and HPS for flowering)
140 cfm squirrel cage exhaust fan
4 2.5" intake vents
cabinet is 32"W x 26"D x 48"H

I also have a separate cabinet with cfls for clones and maybe a mother. I have grown outside many times but this is my 1st attempt at indo. So far it has been one hell of an experience. I started about a month ago with rockwool cubes and then dwc...after a few weeks of hell my little girls said they had enough and so I moved them into soil.

You can read all about it here...... https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/303262-1st-dwc-experiance-trial-error.html

I mixed 20% perlite with 80% MG organics choice. I know allot of ppl on RIU hate MG, but It has done wonders for me. Nonetheless, I now have a bale of pro-mix HP which I will be using when I upcan.

I am using iguana juice grow as my base nutes. I am also using a little tarantula & piranha from AN as well as some B+ and plantacillin from Future Harvest. I am kinda just giving the plants what they need and not really following any feeding guide, however I am staying reasonably close to AN's nute calculator for the Iguana juice.

Cabinet temps are around 75*
Humidity is around 50%
Canopy temp is around 80*
been watering with RO water which is between 6.3 and 7 PH.

I just put them back on nutes Sunday as if this was the 1st week of veg. So far they have responded very well to the transplant....especially considering what they have been through....bongsmilie

PS.. My kids have misplaced my digital camera, Grrrrrrrrr. I will post some better pics once it is located.

Peace,
JJB

Not huge changes since last post, however I went ahead yesterday and topped them all. The ADHD was topped a few days ago and it is now showing 3 new main sites....should be an interesting plant....some of the plants are showing a tiny bit of yellow at the very tips of the leaves but other than that they are doing ok... I have been giving them just water throughout the week so they are due for a feeding tomorrow. here are a few pics
(camera is still MIA)

PS. see that yellow in the middle of the leaf in the last pic... is that from too much or to little nutes?

Started my first indoor grow on Super bowl suday. Thought I would share my experience, maybe get some tips, and advice on strains.

My story is totally oppisite of yours. Not better just oppisite. My experience in outdoor growing has taught me one golden rule I grow by. Less is more!!!
Not in yeild of course but growing method for sure! Put the seed in dirt add water and mj will grow like a weed. All I can do is F it up.

So drawing on this rule I decided to start getto. Try to find the bear minimum that was needed to achieve steady growth.
heres a list of what I started with.

- 3" net pots
- sponge plugs that had been soaked in hydroderm.
- hydroton and solo cups
- tetra air pump
- 1 26 watt cfl, shop light with reflector
- floranova drain to waste nutes (veg and bloom, Flouricious plus and kool bloom)

Started 1 seed out of my own seed stock 2 weeks before superbowl. Just put seed in sponge keeped it moist and a strong plant emerged 3 or four days later. Put plant in pot with hydroton placed that in solo cup. Left about 1 or 2 inches of empty space in bottom of the cup. Set the cup on my night stand and clamed the light to my bed post. Transferred seedlings to coffee can dwc. Which rusted and was replaced with a plastic one.

Problem #1 Super bowl sunday I go to
the store and get bigger bulb 60 whatever watts put it in and proceed to get ready for small party later. watched game went to check on plant after game
The light was to heavy dropped down crushed my plant and burnt the stalk in half. DAMN!!!!! So i stared 2 new ones.

Went and bought a night stand to make small seedling chamber.Completed it and put my new sedlings in it. Nice and rooted I put the in my new dwc. A 1 gallon bowl with lid and air pump. I just used water the first few days till the roots were about a inch or 2 below the pot. Then come the nutes the seedling dosage on the bottle. They loved it but after a few days it was evident they wanted more. average growth dosage on bottle and flor plus. Man they took off standing at attenion about an hour after the lights come on. and most of the cycle.
But still looked like they were hungry.
Agressive growth dosage on the bottle.
WOW!!! unbelievable can all most watch it grow. Standing at attetion all day like it was gaurding the queen of england or some shit.

Problem 2 op way to small everything. this thing filled up a 2x2x2 space in a month from seed. By the way i culled one so theres only one. So i'll try some lsting.
I think i ended up creating a new technique Hsting High stress training. And cut the nutes back to try and put the brakes on. Damn!!!!!! killed almost all my big fan leaves at once. And put it on a diet the same day big mistake.

I ve brought her back after a good stunt. Might hermie now if it was a female.

Shooting for a 250hps,DWC scrog with co2 injection. it will happen got everything i need but co2 stuff.

If i can offer you any advice it would be to take it slow. especially with the seedlings They seem to do well to root with just water. Light newts for 3 days when they hit the water.

Got to go just letting it out dont talk to no one about this shit.

DWC = not to difficult Don't over do it!!!

here are some new pics....finally found my camera. I have begun to lst a couple plants just to see how it goes. I figure I may as well get my experimenting over with on the first grow.... Im not really too concerned with how much smoke I get out of these plants, This grow is pretty much a lesson in indoor growing.

Color seems to be good on all the new growth, so im thinking they are liking the feeding schedule i have them on. We will see......

Check it out....

looks as though the girls are liking the new pots and feeding schedule. I only have room for 4 pots in the MH cabinet so I had to put a couple plants back under cfls. The plan is to keep chopping these plants down until the 4 under the MH are done flowering. Then ill put them under the MH. here are tons of pics.....

In pic 1-3, I dont know if you can pick it out but I tried the fim method and she has 5 main sites!!! the Church plant in the far left corner also has 5 main sites!! sweeeeeeeet!!:bigjoint:

dont flower, cut some clones firsssttt

I was planning on taking clones tomorrow...but what the hell. So here they are....experimental. 2 in jiffy, 2 in RW and 10 clones in a bubbleponic setup with an ultrasonic fogger. The RW cubes and jiffy pellets are under a humidity dome. I have the fogger on a timer to go on and off at 1/2 hr intervals, otherwise the water gets toooo hot. The air pump is running full time though with two 12" air tubes. mist 3 or 4 times a day and lets see what happens.... I put a little B+ and plantacillin in the solution. The guy at the hydro store said he uses it all the time for clones in his bubbleponic system with 98% success rate.

I think I might start another batch of seeds as well just in case. I tried my hand at cloning several years ago with no luck. mind you I had no patience for anything back then :)

So here are some pics...day 3 of flowering. lookin nice and bushy. I fed them on friday with a dose of iguana grow and I think ill give them a couple more feedings with the grow b4 i switch over to the iguana bloom. Im also going to switch bulbs this coming friday from the MH im using now to a 250 watt hps. From what I have read the hps is better for flowering than the MH. We will see!

I maybe could have waited a couple more weeks b4 changing lite cycles but im not sure how much these gals will stretch and im afraid of running out of room....

In the second picture you can see my new can filter :) just installed that this morning. Im sucking air in trough the filter and fan which is then exhausted through a 4" round duct into the attic. The only little bit of smell I get now is when I open the door to the cabinet or I open the dome on my clones.

The clones are doing well I suppose. lower leaves are all turning yellow, but I read that its not a bad thing. as the plant tries to grow roots it will use up the energy stored in the leaves...turning them yellow from the bottom up. hoping to see roots in the next week or so.

Anyways... im rambling because im baked...
Here are the pics.......
Peace,
JJB.

Well what can I say.... all 6 plants are female, but 4 of the six were fem seeds. cabinet is getting crowded but Im hoping that the girls are not going to stretch that much more. I was thinking of maybe putting a screen on top of them to try to maximize space.... anyways im very happy with the growth and flower formation.

on the 16th I fed them iguana grow and flipped the lights on the 17th. Then this friday past, I fed them iguana grow and iguana bloom 1:1. This friday I will feed them 3/4 bloom and 1/4 grow....Im hoping that this will help stop some of my fan leaves from turning yellow due to lack of N. Last night after "lights out" I switched the 250MH out for the 250HPS. this afternoon there was a little bit of curled edges on the fan leaves so im guessing that the hps runs hotter than the MH? anyway I raised the light to about 13"..we will see how that does...

Clones are all rooted...no duds!! However for some reason the two clones i put in rockwool are almost totally yellow...they may not survive. So the rundown is: 2 clones in RW, not too swell. 6 clones in fogponic did great, however it was tough to keep the temp down on the res...next time i use this setup i will use tapwater and just change it out everyday... But to my surprise, after reading all the pad shit people say about the jiffy plugs...they are by far the best way to root clones IMO. roots showed on almost all the JP clones within a week!! made for strong little clones. So that is my official cloning method from now on!!

Well thats the news...here are some pics.....
as always, any and all feedback is more than welcome...
