i put the pest strips in the bucket of my plant and each one is good for about 3-4 plants, any farther away then a few feet is no good get like 6 of them and put them right next to the plants and you will get all the mites in a day or so.

Will Doktor Doom take care of the eggs?
I have a bigger area to control than about 95% of the people here and I use the foggers once per month. I guess that means it doesn't kill the eggs? Preventative treatments like take down and neem oil have made my life easier and on a small scale, these different products will eradicate a mite problem completely.

Lower temps, raise humiditý, turn off fans get sticky traps, stakes, tanglefoot, and a 3 part pesticide system such as neem, azamax, and safer, alternate them weekly meanwhile take the stakes and secure plants to them. Coat the very top of the stake with tanglefoot. Mites naturally migrate to the top of the plant to catch wind and move to the next plant. They'll climb to the top and get stuck in the tanglefoot and die. These all combined will anihalate anything in there. Good luck and don't waste anymore time.

And the traps and stakes are awesome for identifying problem areas and more succeptable strains as u can just look and see where the most are and act accordingly. Hope that helps man those fuckers suck

Into my second week of flowering and third week of battling spider mites. After trying several methods (ie. Neem, iso/water) I went out and bought a Hot shot no pest strip after reading reports of complete eradication. I've had the NPS hanging in my grow tent for a few days now and the mites don't seem to be affected, and are still scurrying along the undersides of my poor, spotted leaves. If anyone has any advice, please chime in.
Sounds like a bad situation, your too late into flower to totally iraticate them,so what you need to do is keep using neem oil every day at a low disolved concentrated solution. Neem oil does not work at killing the spider mites, trust me i've used it thousands of times before I found the real method, all it does is keep-them-at-bay. Now those pest strips, hot shots, and doctor bug bombs; NONE OF THEM WORK! I've used them all numerous times and they don't work don't waste your money on them, they just slow them down but your infestation will come back. If all you have is neem oil,use it up untill the last week and a half, then spray your plants down with water lightly every day up until last 2 days of harvest, you can dry your buds at the same rate i've never seen webed buds after plants were cut. There is only one thing that i've ever come across that totally kills "all" types of any bugs, but I can't reveal it here it's a pro's secret. Follow this info. to a T,i've dealt with spider mites a lot. Goodluck.

i swear the pest strips work... i put one at the base of the plant with the mites and there all dead the next day. i clean the webs up and leave it there a few more days just to be sure i have 4 of them with 8 plants and i move them around every so often and i have not seen mite sense and i tried organocide it does nothing so i got floramite it kills them but they come back and you can't use it while flowering. but i have had the pest strips and no mites for 2 months now.

Seems like the NPS is the way to go. I have two of them in my grow tent and they really seem to be working. I'm a believer.

He doesn't want to say it, because he uses NO-PEST STRIPs. They are not organic, so maybe not cool, but they are very effective. bongsmilie

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Your post should be deleted on account of ignorance alone.

i wounder what you have to do to be a "PRO" to get ALL the secrets...is there a test you have to take, and when do you know you are a pro is it you telling yourself that or is someone coming to peeps houses and rating them pro, semi pro, or just a beginner..anyways if you really do have a "SECRET" tell people.

I agree with Johnny, when nothing else works, NO-PEST STRIP.

Works for me. :leaf:
I am very interested in trying the no pest strips ,, regular mite wars suck and the strips do sound like dream come true if they really do work like it sounds .. Question,,, Does anyone know if the Hotshot strips are the only kind that work >>? seems the vapona and the ortho home defense strips have the same ? active ingredients?? or not??

Since the HotShot No-Pest Strip is very toxic, it is designed for use in non-habitated areas. Have you guys used these in tents or rooms in the house where you & your family live? I have read the packaging and wondered just how safe it is to use. Does it break down over time? Does it harm flowering plants? Can it be used right up to the point of harvesting?

Thanks for the info. My biggest concern is when the buds get vaped. It would not be cool to be vaporizing toxic residue. I have read the packaging & what made me put it back on the shelf was the statements about not using it in food areas.

i HATE spider mites, drop the temp also, they seem to pop up when u r into the last weeks of flower, make sure u change shoes when coming in from outside, i had just harvested 1 ww, the other needed about 2 weeks more, and of course the mother plant, they show up almost over night & when its warm, i had tried everything, in desperation, i took them outside in a storm, tem in 40's all spidermites gone, but my 3 plants were so bad i thought they w/die, thats how much spidermites damages the plants, i wasted a week trying neem, & everything else so in a week still using priducts, my plants lost most leaves, poor things, well i left them outside, this was since may, they actually came back & in 4 wks flower & stinky, they were so stressed i thought they w/at least go hermie, nope they are getting nice thick stickey colas yeh
