CFL Temp Preferance

So I recently came across a NASTY deal on some CFL's. I bought a total of 18 CFL's for $0.92 a piece. I have 10 14w 6500K and 8 23w 2700k. Im just curious as to how some people use their lighting, such as mixing them or just strictly 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. I'm debating weather or not I want to throw half of my lights in now and half later or just all at once.

yea that was the original plan, but some people like to mix the spectrum, i was just making a post that would let people show their results or list their preferences., or both!

I use a mixed spectrum because that's how it is in nature

During veg, I have more 6500k CFL's while during flowering, I have more 2700k CFL's

Its been working well for me

mixed isnt going to hurt but dont mess with a good thing its proven plants like those spectrums for optimal growth so stick to it.

Personally I am a strong believer in mixed spectrum (although currently only got single spectrum in veg and flower, come payday a little mix up will occur).

I have experimented in a small way with 'simulated days', starting with a short period of low intensity light, building up the wattages and mixed spectrum through the day and then staging down again in the evening. I can't say I have any sort of reliable result from this, but it's something I'm going to play with further on later grows.

well, i think unless you can replicate the sun with its insane amount of lumens/sq. ft (which is 10000 i believe) then i dont think itll really matter right? i mean i could be wrong.
