mold problem, help please. first grow

hi guys.

did a check on my 10 seedling this morning and checked under the peat pots for signs of roots.

instead i see the bottom of the peat pots are getting covered with a white substance almost spiderweb looking. very "hairy"...

anyone know how too remedy this? it took me months getting theese seeds and if theese plants go poopoo id probably have too give up

I had similar mold late in my last grow. It turns out it was just the damp topsoil & guano was just a highly fertile environment where it could grow. It should be nothing to worry about. Just mix up the top-soil every few days with your hands & that should unsettle the mold enough to kill it. Make sure you let your soil dry out completely before you remoisten it. Any residual top-layer ferts - if any - should be discarded also.
You should be ok once it doesn't get on the plants, especially the buds.
My plants with the same problem finished fine. They were lovely smoke, too.

Ah thats good too hear buddy. I ended up doing a early transplant from peat pots too 1,4 litre pots. Hoping this problem is is dealt with now that the peat pots are under soil.

I read that its likely too be the peat pots themself that starts too mold when beeing in a humid enviroment while exposed too air and high temps as it is a organic product.

But we will see, probably not using peat pots again though :p

glad too hear you had a good harvest :)

this first crop is mainly for seed production and selecting a mother, flower room is built for 30 plants at the time, cant wait for that heavy harvest hehe
