What is up everyone. I finished a little grow setup and thought I would put up a journal for the next few cycles of ladies. Right now I am running 2X400w HPS, and T5 tubes for veg. In flower is a massive G.C. Kush mother that has been veggin slowly for about 20 weeks, a couple of O.G. Kush plants a buddy gave me, a couple BlackJack clones from the last flowering cycle and finally a SnowWhite female that is looking and smelling wonderful. Anyway keep up all the good work fellow growers and any comments are appreciated.

those plants look great but you would do even better with more light. you're at about 4,000 lumens per square foot and the recommended range is 7,000 to 10,000 lumens per square foot. some people think 3,000 lumens per square foot is adequate but that's all it is, barely adequate. your yield will grow proportionate to the amount of light that's added up to 10,000 lumens per square foot.

Well, I am having a hard time deciding between a Supernova LED, or a 1000w HPS..... I have done my research on both, but I need more direct opinions.

don't trust opinions, look at the grows. search LED grow and see if you can find any successful ones. i haven't.

Neither have I. I will be looking at the first bit and will edit when I'm done Nice grow that I can see so far.

Edit: Ok looked at it all now and that room is nice man. Good job +Rep on that room. He is right about the 3000 Lumen / sq ft is adequate. If you want opinion's on the lights I am getting ready to go to 1000's myself like back in the day. I love the results of 600s and 1000s. Good luck on the grow and the lights.

Thanks for advice desert, I think im going to go with the 1000. Joker have you used 1000's before? what about 600's?

I have used them both in the past with great success. If you follow what the recommended room sized I think the 600 is like 5' x 10' and the 1000 is like 10' x 10' I never had a big room to grow in so I'm not sure about that portion haha

Well just from what you know would a 1000 be over kill in a 6 and a half ft long, 6 ft. tall, 4 ft. wide area? desert this question is for you also if you are still there. any advice is good. thanks guys

Not overkill if you want the biggest and the fattest ladies you can get your hands on. It's worth it in my books.

Awesome +rep for the advice. Im going to go with a 1000 watter, its just a matter of when now. Until I get the money we will see what kind of yields I can pull off 2X400's.
