1 whats going on with my plant, tips turning yellow/brown like theyre drying up. 2 other than the obvious does the plant look normal? its northern light.
This looks like nute burn, could be overwatering. My baby leaves on all of my plants look like this and mine were over watered. They will remain like that the rest of their lives. IF the new growth looks good your made in the shade so to speak :)

I'm getting a 50% germination rate on seeds that grow a healthy tail. Is it my medium? Im growing in a potting soil called Baccto that my local nursery recommended. It has sand and vermiculite. Im packing the soil in bathroom cups, poking my pinkie in 1/2", putting the seed and packing gently. I then water slowly....any suggestions? Am I over watering?

are there nutrients in your medium? are you germing with paper towel method, or just planting them in the soil and keeping it moist?

germing and letting it tail about 3/8" no nutes. i was told the soil has enough nutes for the early stages.
that would be your problem. you soil has enough nutrients for the early stages of growth, but also enough to kill some weaker seedlings. i start my seeds in small cups of neutral yard dirt and then transplant into soil that contains a little bit of nutrients when the cotyledons start to shrivel up.

was that your only issue? how many plants are you planning on growing and what are you using for light?

chances are that it not is unless you have had leafs decomposing on it or some other form of fertilizer

edit: i always check my yard dirt for critters eggs and any other harmful things like that

no not where NOTHING is growing because thats soil is probably barren and full of sand or has some sort of problem. just go for regular yard soil, where things grow, but dont decompose

Sick rids, looks great..

Thank you, I really like the new RIU

The Blog thing is cool because the info post stays on top and the comments don't mess things up like what happens in the forum post

I think once folks get used to it this site will be so much better

hey riddle what cha know about cloning in flower? like 5 weeks

Bad idea, it can be done up to 3 weeks in flower (during the stretch/push) takes a bit longer though but after that your % of success goes way down with everyday

Good news is if you keep em green you can re-veg (only took me 3 weeks) and get clones after you harvest

Yep, they will put there energy into flowering instead of throwing roots..

@riddles- yeh I think I'm one of the minority who like it,.more polished and professional feel..
Just a few glitches to smooth out yet I think
