To start off if you want more lights for cheap i would probly go to your local wal-mart / hardware store and buy yourself some CFL's they're cheap and get the job done on a budget. And your question about yield - a fluroscent will never produce the yield that a HID will - but you can still get a good amount of weight if you use enough CFL's and keep the plant healthy and well fed. :leaf:

I agree with Scoop. Even if you could only afford a 150W or 250W HID light it would increase your yield. You would have to buy a hell of a lot of CFL's to produce what you can with a HID light. Don't get me wrong though you can grow some nice plants with CFL's.

Where did you get Trainwreck at? You can get really cheap CFLs.......there's just no way to dispose of them, because they have mercury. Therefore you will not be rewarded by nature with good bud.

i got some trainwreck bud and it had one seed of an oz or so..
anyways. you think i could get the same light i got now and just use 2 of those hanging next to each other??

Yea why not? Just use the correct kelvin values for your bulbs: 6500k in veg and 2700k in flower respectivly. You'll surely get something out of the deal. The closer you get those bulbs to the leaves, the better the plants can use it, so you might be able to make it happen with that setup if you lower those t5s and LST the plant.......but you really should think about adding a CFL or two in there.....If your gonna spend the time doing all of this, then you might as well do it right.

a socket and CFL won't run you over $10...that's like a drink at a nice bar

I suggest you go to Home Depot, ask about about plug in sockets, and get an extension cord, plug the socket in, screw the CFL in, put that shit anywhere, but probably right above the plant would be best. You probably should consider LST that plant to make it bushier too, you would get the most out of the T5 lights that way with your set-up.
