Aeroponic water pump question...

So I just dropped 8 clones into this 24 site cloning system. I plan on growing them in this all the way through budding. I am wondering whether to run the pump 24hr or 1hr on/30min off or whatever. I have a timer that you can tune to 30 min. Maybe while they're still young I should run it 24? Maybe differently when they're adults?

I think if you were going to have off cycles for that long, you might want to make it a dwc hybrid system, so that the roots don't dry out too much. It's cheaper than buying a cycle timer.

and how might i do that? you got a link? and would it be a problem if i ran it 24/7?

I run 5sec on 7min off work good for me

24/7 is fine

24/7 is okay at first. I run water for the first 24-36 hours after cutting/cloning then switch to 15on / 15 off. after I get some decent root growth I use 15on/30 off. After 5 years of aeroponics I have found that you want the roots to just start to dry out before you water again, over watering causes root rot and will half your end product weight. When the roots dry they reach out, growing in search for water then when you water they uptake like its theyre last drink alive.
