Organics vs. chem-will the quality differ?

Simple question really. If I grow organic will my potency go up or down, or will it not make a difference?

Also while on the subject: on average what's the price difference with organic vs. chemicals?

Organics will give you more potent and better looking harvest but the yeilds will come down a bit. A fair trade in my eyes.
The better the product the more the price raise.

according to Jason King, compiler of the cannabible series, organic is the only way to go/grow lol!!! organic growing produces the best tasting buds around, real talk. its like this: who is gonna perform better? A.) a world class sprinter fed entirely on mac D's or B.) a world class sprinter fed entirely on a high-quality organic diet. from experience, running after fueling with mickey D's is NOT FUN

to answer your questions,

organics help bring out the best in your plants, this also applies to potency... chem (strain) is the only exception

organics can be cheap or expensive, you can pretty much make anything you need i.e foliar feeds, teas, liquid nutes etc. with a bit of know-how, most of which is described in great detail here, or you can buy them already made with brand names stamped on em and pay a helluva lot more

Wow, this sounds like great advice. I will start searching for some articles on it. Know of any to help prime the pump?

Start with a high quality soil with proper aeration and consistency. I know there is a poll thread comparing Roots organic vs. Foxfarm Ocean Forest.

I use Ocean Forest, mainly because I can't find Roots near my residence

That's not entirely accurate, organics can produce as much weight,
but the timing on hydro is much quicker, with fast acting nutes,
he plant absorbs and uses them faster, and in turn grows faster.

Organic farmers forget about the aspect of adding their micro organisms, for
instance, you, shotzky, what have you added for your micro herd, such as
mycorrhizae, or trichoderma, or micro bacterals, beneficial nematodes, and such.

If you want your plant to make the most of the organic food you plan on feeding it
such as bat quano, eartworm castings, bone meal, blood meal, and such, you have
to realize, these plants have 8-10 week flowering cycle on average, and that is a short
amount of time for these plants to break this heavy food down. Will it eventually? Yes,
but the micro organisms are what are help break down the nutes. Humic acids and Fulvic
acids are natural chelates and will help drive this process as well.

You can have great yields in organic soils.

Depends on how much experience you have growing.

I'm doing organics now as a personal preference. I've also done more than a few chemical grows.

If it's grown well and right, I would bet 98% of smokers could NOT tell the difference between organic and chem.

That is a really big IF though. Organics does not guarantee a superior anything, nor does the cost of a nutrient. Not if you can't read your plant to see what it does or doesn't need.

A full run of good chems (Dyna-Gro or Jack's Classic), should be less than $30 or so.

The Earth Juice came out to ~$76+. But some of that will be enough for several grows (Micro's, Meta-K).

You see, I've never seen a fully complete organic anything. Not in 1 bottle anyway.

Dyna-Gro on the other hand is 100% complete. Macros, Micros, Trace, it's all there. If you don't over apply it, it's a no brainer. Just mix with water and pour it in.

I still keep my mother plants on Dyna-Gro, just in case I totally fuck up with the organics. LOL
It's a whole new learning curve with organics and I'm not prepared to risk everything. Clones I can regrow, my mommy plants are priceless.

It is 100% true.. Organics will give you less yield.

Ive experiment with it for years..

Ive gone back and forth with it...

Chemicals win for a cash crop. And Organics will taste a bit better.

These are facts, not opinions.

Your "experiments" don't make them facts. I've seen otherwise. No arguements,
I'm over it, i've seen bumper organic harvests.

Blah blah blahhh.. :|

I've seen excellant organic grows, Im not denying it.. But in side to side comparisons for over a decade.. Chemicals always yields much higher.

Good day Sir :)

I have been using Fox Farm OF and all the nute line up. I harvest 4-7 oz per plant and I believe it all starts with a great veg. I am going with Humbolts Naturals as they have a complete line up of organics. I will veg hard and see where I stand at harvest. I am looking for improvements in taste and potency and will not be surprised if I have a lower yield.
