Do you have light leaks in your room? Perhaps you should look a little further into why you are getting hermies with some regularity. Are you stressing the shit out of them?

Some hermie flowers are sterile...some are not. It depends on the plant/strain.

If you miss one and it deposits pollen it will not affect the plants that are 5+ weeks into flower...but it MIGHT affect the smaller flowering plants you might have on hand. Seed takes 4-6 weeks to fully form...so if you arer closer to finish than that they will not fully develop if the hermies release pollen on em.

Prolly won't grow back in the same place but I've never kept track to notice...

good luck

Not to pull a Lazarus and revive this OLD post... but there is a benefit in having a hermie plant... you can have 99% female seeds as a result, inbreed seeds at that... If I had a hermie, I would toss it up on the mother rack, and clone it, make SOME seeds, while preserving a couple true sensimilla colas, and if the strain is good and potent, you now have a fuckload of seeds... and a clone (you may be able to take a clipping from a hermie, and pamper it into a nice lady...) as hermaphrodites from female plants typically occurs as a stress response, the plant tries to 'ensure progeny' by growing some balls... this is also more common in some strains than others, and from what i have heard from friends, more often a sativa strain issue. I have yet of hearing about a Ruderalis hybrid going hermie... would love to get a auto flower hermie.... would let the whole plant get pollinated... and isolated... feminized auto-flower strain seeds... ready to harvest in 60 days... them seeds would be worth their weight in gold...

hermy plants make hermy seeds. your 99% figure is wrong. sorry.
