whats your opinion on cutting out leaves to allow more light through?

ive always been under the impression that more leaves = more photosynthesis = more growth of whole plant, and have always stuck by this rule.

however this particular grow is very bushy and i feel that maybe a little tuck and trim may be more beneficial to the girls. to remove a few hovering over budsites, wud certainly still leave a huge amount of foliage.


but the words cut and my leaves really dont sit gd wit me,,, was wonderin wat the concensus was on this????

if your going to take any leaves off take the big fan leaves. don't take them alloff at one time spead it out over a couple weeks to leese the stress on the plant.. but thats ok to do.. a couple weeks b4 floweri found is the best time to thin out. if need to be

hi mygirls havent seen u round for a while, although i live in th edwc these days so thats prob why! i may just pull one or two out of the centre of my mass, see if i have the guts when the scissors are in my hand lol thanks for ya opinion

I strongly disagree, their is no good reason to cut any healthy leaves like that. it just doesnt make any sense, more energy=more growth, right? if your going to do anything to them just tie them out of the way.

if you have the lumes to penatrait threw the cannapy then no you don't need to, but if your lacking the light then this is OK to do. taking the big water leaves off the main stalk won't hurt any thing.

dont cut them, pick them off from the stem and only do the lower 1/3 of the plant

This is a debateable subject which could go on forever...

Personally, If i see a juicy bud site, and a leaf is covering it, I will remove the leaf immediately.

I know its bad to remove too many leaves, but a bud site will not develope into a Mature Cola without maximum lumens shining upon it.

it all work but some time you just have to do things to better your harvest.. we alldo diffrent thing, all we can do is put out 2 cents wort of our grow experence out there for the takeing.. what they do with it is upto them. we did our part brother...
