You said in a previous post that the pots were too big for the room. I replied "I hope not" and that my plan was to only flower 2-3 of the remaining 6 and that is my final pot size. Will start flower @ 12-18"What do you mean my friend ????????
If you start flowering at 12" expect them to be 36" tall (max) when done EXCLUDING the height of those massive containers. You said in a previous post that the pots were too big for the room. lol they are only 7" tallTo me the pots look about 2-3 ft tall and then you will have to add 36" on to that pot depth and still leave at least 1.5ft from the top of the plants at the end..
I will have 54" above the tops of those massive containers. I have been thinking about how to set up veg and flower partitions. I'm not sure I could do pure HID and might do cfl and or T5 HO.So its time to get the tape measure out and the calculator as there is nothing worse than running out of head room.
Yes a good idea to allow light to the lower bud sites. Usually done in veg (lst) but you can do it in flower and just rotate the pots now and then to get light to the shaded parts but ideally dont run out of headroom. If you run out of room just tie em' on down. Helps even out the canopy too.
Go for hps (multi spectrum) and your plants will reward you.Thats the Plan

t5's wil smoke a hps. The new ones ( 8 bulb 2x4' ) puts out 40,000 lumes, that's as much as a 400 hps, not to mention you can put it closer so your actually getting more light. A friend of mine did a side by side of a 400 hps and the 8 bulb t5. They make a 2x2 version too but I'm not sure what it puts out for lumens. Best part is no heat. I've given away all my MH's and converted to t'5.
I can duplicate what i have and have 2 spaces but that might be a little large for PU.Go for hps (multi spectrum) and your plants will reward you.
You really want a different vegging and flowering room for a big grow operation.

Gave them some GO BioThrive today. Pulled the trigger on the T5 HO picked up 8 - 2 24w 6500K, roughly the same cost as my HID MH. If i don't get the performance out of the T5s I'll switch back to the MH. Need to split the cabinet now, upper flower, lower veg/mother/clone. Due to space constraints I am only going to veg to 12" first cycle.
Thats it, will work on the T5 config tomorrow.
I hope so. Although this plant is 5 weeks from seed, I did everything I could to kill it the first 2 weeks. I want to try and do a 4 – 6 week perpetual cycle. Mother to Cloner to VEG to flower, rinse and repeat. This time through I will Clone all the plants (sex is unknown started with bag seed) and flower the clones. Plants that produce ladies will become mothers. Plan on maintaining 2 mothers. This one is 8". Gave a light dose of GO BioThrive last night, for the first time.Hell yeah bro, you won't be dissopointed.
