First time grow, should I prune the bottom branches? Only week 1 flower...

I was wondering if i should prune off the bottom branches to optimize the yield at the top. my brother told me not to but im thinking that I should, cuz he dont know what the fuck he is talking about either! so i want some expert opinions so i can get the best from my crop. please let me know what i should do, where to check for where to cut, etc...

DONT do it if theyre floweing! I did it to mine, and theyre kinda having a hard time getting Wider instead of Taller. So, I object! Best of luck yo ya, blaze on..

im not trying to make them wider or taller, im trying to get the energy into the buds on the top towards where more of the light is shining????

or you could always add some side lighting, lol, have a pic of the plant? that will really help.

Just leave it be, when you go to harvest just harvest the top half, leave the bottom half to flower for another few weeks, good results.

Well IMO the light on the heads only really matters most during Veg, this is when you want them to grow up towards the light and get taller. However, during flower, all the energy is absorbed via the fan leafs and then distributed to the plant. I have buds that are in the middle of the plant and never get direct light and they are full buds.
