I'm with you on the "HAVE GUNS" side of it. I think everyone should be armed, to protect us from the government if they decide to do something crazy. They're capable, are you capable of defending yourself?

Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what would happen if the police just all up and quit... not sure how figuring out a simple logical problem equates me to being all knowing.

but never in a million years would a video like this ever make me hate police, because I'm smart enough to know that bad cops get what's coming to them, and the good cops don't deserve to be affected by the bad ones.

There is obvious hypocrisy and false logic in some of there lyrics but they also have good points and depict a very real struggle of minorities against racial profiling and police brutality. Just like tupac and other rappers of that time they used raw music to expose the abuse of power in law enforcement.

So speaking hypothetically since I don't know how it could ever happen: I don't wish for a world without cops, I wish that one day every single officer will be held accountable for their actions in the face of the judicial system which currently seems to weigh heavily towards their side.

I agree, the punishments put on police for things, such as the beach incident are ridiculous... and where to start in the realm of changing discipline policies I wouldn't even know... the chief perhaps, but I would think the mayor/DA would be a more worthy goal.

We'll never completely get rid of corruption in the LE world, but... with time and effort, PEACEFUL effort, we can make the price of being corrupt way more than it's worth, cops do NOT want to go to jail, and of course, going to jail means end of the line for any LEO's career, well... usually... so focus locally as I've said, and make your changes with the communities support.

It'll take a lot of time and effort, but eventually it can work if people want it to...

Yes!

The thing about the give your kids guns was when I was talking about a world without police... and how you would have people trying to break in to your house, etc... way more often than if there was police presence in the area.

The peaceful effort thing is about making changes in the way police officers are disciplined, and how we can't start hurting police to discipline them, we must work it in the court rooms and law books.
