Can I reduce light cycle by three hours

A faulty timer that runs the 600 sodium lights has been sticking and staying on too long. I started them indoors but now I wanna to put these babies outside . theyve been used to 18 hours of artificial light ; Theres about 15 hours of light outside ;Will this confuse them to start flowering as soon as they go outside. Thats an instant cut from 18 to 15 hours. If I wait another month there'll be about 16 hours of light outside. It sounds as if the plants are quite sensitive to light changes . I want to harvest them in October so Im trying to avoid them flowering forat least another two months. Any views please

Stability shouldnt be an issue with that type of light change but flowering could occur depending on the strain.

15 hours of light is usually enough. If you get a lot of those hours full sunlight, go for it.

If its shady a lot of the day, I would wait a bit longer just in case
