Chris' 1st "Attempt" At Outdoor Growing
Ok. Sooooo obviously, the title sais it all. This will be my VERY 1st attempt at growing outdoors. i have some basic knowledge on what to do, but would appreciate any other hints/tips/advice/secrets... ANY help will be greatly appreciated. +Rep for good help. =)
I am working on my 3rd indoor grow at the moment. My newest one is in my signature. Its 1 Nirvana White Widow.. and 1 Mystery Seed. They're under about 410 watts of CFL's.
My previous grow was just 1 Nirvana White Widow. I vegged her for 3 weeks (from seed) and used 310 watts of CFL's, and I pulled 3.15 ounces DRY from her! I know thats a bit hard to believe... but here's my journal for proof. =) It will be on page 69, which has the Harvest Pics on it.

Ok. Now.. back to the outdoors. Sooo yea, I live in Southern New England... Sooo I am not blessed with the best growing season, or w.e. u wanna call it. New England weather sucks, but from what I understand, as long as there's no frost.. your ok.
Well, currently... I JUST started germinating the seeds.. Soooo it will take a while for things to get under way. But I am hoping to use the time before my journal gets under way with pics and updates, to try to learn a little more about exactly what I should be doing to have a successful outdoor grow.
I plan on vegging indoors for 2-3 weeks, and then bringing them outside. I am not growing in my backyard, since my yard is very open, and plenty of people could see if they'd like, and my neighbors suck! So I am going to have to walk about 5 minutes down my street, and to the left and the right... there are PowerLines, that have an almost never-ending patch of woods.
There are alot of paths, and people do often walk through there, one side more than the other, so I already know which side to plant on. There are some paths that people ride Quads on too, so I will have to be careful about that. I plan on waking a decent distance into the woods, and finding an area that is somewhat hidden, but gets some sunlight, and has a lot of other plants/bushes/trees growing, and planting my plants right in the middle of them. I will cut down a bush or tree if I must.
I plan on digging a pretty big/deep hole. I would like to dig as deep down as possible, and filling it with Miracle Grow Moisture Control "GARDENING" soil. This mixture already has nutes in it. I also have some time release plant food I will be mixing in with the garden soil.
My mother is going to come with me when I go to set it all up, so that it looks a little less suspicious if it's me and my mom walking into the woods.. instead of just some 21 year old kid walking in the woods. I am going to keep the plants some-what close together... but not too close.
Ok, well I think that's all the info I can think of. lol. Sooo again, any help would be great!! Feel free to post pictures of your own grows, or other people grows. I don't mind at all.
Well Thanks in advance to everyone. I'm hoping this journal gets as popular as my Indoor Journal's get. =)
