Hi,
Call me Joe Green Thumb. In a fairytale setting(No part of this forum is true, i cannot be held accountable for what is said, or posted. All pictures are found on internet) I wanted to grow some mj, but had roommates that would squeal without even being squeezed.
So i decided to build my own grow box out of a walmart 2 shelf closing cabinet, in white(little less than $30).
I then added foam insulation all the way around inside to conceal bright light from inside, when doors are closed. Whole unit is built of sturdy MDF, except the back cardboard piece. Oh Well. It was white so it would be plenty reflective small area.
The inside contains 2 fully height adjustable shelves. On the top shelf I mounted a 2 light fixture in the center. Using 2 cool natural light cfl's, each 1600 lumens, 26 watts, 6500K. That comes out to 3200 lumens for seedlings of blue spectrum.
3" PC fan converted to d.i.y. mounted fan w/ ac transformer and speed control. Quiet.
With this setup, i can keep it warm, not hot, with doors totally closed. Nothing for air circulation yet.
This is 3 bag seeds that have sprouted from a jiffy kit. Strictly experimental extra's.
...Meanwhile

Seeds Arrive!!!
My 3 Blueberry and 3 LowRyder 2
Seeds Arrive!!!
I begin to germinate the new seeds in an aerogarden 200. This has (3) 26 watt cfls, totalling 78 watts.
Seeds begun germination process 4/22. I screwed up an just dropped seed into pods. I should have cut open and placed seed in middle. Seeds quickly begin to grow long curly root. Root is not finding way into the original Aerogarden pods. 4/25 I remove pods from baskets ,cut open pod(aka sponge), and carefully try to put as much of the root into grow medium. Roots are brittle and one end snapped in half. At the time i did not know, but roots have tiney little hairs, which were heavily disrupted(probably rubbed off accidentally by handling) and i think heavily stunted the growth and stem strength of now called seedlings.
...but
all babies have survived and are growing. 2 of the auto blueberries are having a little bit of a slow start, but will hopefully be ok.
...will do big update tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
