Looking for Ideas for a Cabinet

400 Watt Digital HPS/MH system, and 7 Bag Beans...thats about it..

I am on a $0 dollar budget, so please have some cheap ideas for the materials.
I haven't found any that really catch my eye yet... hoping I can pool some great Ideas together on this thread.

Im just a noob here bro but i just started a pc/ speaker box grow. i dont know about $0 but i got my pc case for $30 from a computer surplus place. You could get an outdated computer for $10 probably and gut it. I found the speaker boxes at a recycle store and i still hagled. They also had lots of old dressers and shit for like 15$. Get a cabinet with a faceframe, glue or pin the drawer fronts on and take the actual drawers out. Thats what i was gonna do but trying for an even more stealth grow

I was looking for a dresser, (as I stare at mine in my room) but I can't find any on craiglist at the moment for under 30 bucks. I have huge speaker cabinets from my nightclub but The speakers go so far back into the cabinet that I dont think it would be efficent.

Inclosing the 400W into any box will require venting , there goes your budget.

I have box designs in my grow journal.

I found a fridge on Criagslist for FREE if that is in your price range, just look for someone giving away a fridge and you just pick it up. You will need a full size stand up fridge

I don't think you can have 7 or 8 plants though, maybe 5 or 6 if you do it right

I am running a 400 w HPS now and my temps go from the mid 70's to mid 60's then 70 during the day or at night for them. I start up the lights at 9pm to keep the temps down

I am into my 3rd round with it and the results get better & better

y dont you look at knocking a frame up howerver big you want then cover in wood or mylar then you can use computer fans inserted into the walls for cooling. computer cooling fans are cheep enough to get hold of and they do an awsome job if done right. ive put together a couple of stealth cabs for mates these include speakers with working radio, computer cases, sideboards, tv cabinets. the possibilities are endless. with a 400w i would consider using a cooling tube of some type over the bulb just to help with the cooling you dnt have to buy new do a lil research and you will find things can be done very cheap.

had a freind do things very similar an it is a great idea especially when it comes to neutralizing smells.its just not very stealth. but still worth doing

You are so right very much on the DL, I have people in my garage where the fridge is and even now they are 6 weeks into flowering and are stinking, no one has the slightest idea what lies behind the door

But space is an issue but this is what I have to work with and it is better than not having a grow at all

Next round is going to really blow up, I got some seeds from TGA and I am going to top 3 plants and have like 12 plus tops/colas from all 3 hoping to get a 1/2 pound at least

Okay, my budget really isnt Zero dollars but I didnt want people throwing $1000 dollar projects at me. Technically I have no budget, Its when I get Tired of spending money....I have 7 plants and not all of them will be females. The fridge is a good Idea. How would it not be stealth though? could you plug it in to lower the temps? lol

homedepo has 4x8 foot panels for around 16 dollars ea. I used 2 and taped them together to make large cube, with foil tape, for a temporary veg box. works so good still useing it 2 years later. walwart has a small fan 4" that I stuck in the top and put a thermometer in the side. grand total, arround 40 bucks

I have a lot off stuff in my garage so it just kind of blends in, and I kind of gutted mine and removed the items to keep it cool due to issues with intake & exhaust fans but you may be able to keep it running if needed

I do find it keeps the plants at a good temp even when it was 78 outside the kids were chilling at 70 degrees

Glad you like it, just watch CL for a week and you will find one

Just type free fridge and wait, you also be picky since you are doing these people a favor and please clean, clean, and clean it again before growing

find someone doing up a house, ask if you can have one or two of the old kitchen units, could find one in a dump i guess, if one aint big enough stack two and hammer out the base of the top one, simple, free, has doors, and good thick sides

Ehh, not really into dumpster diving... lol

If anyone else has any other options for a grow box or cab.... Id love to hear them, I love the DIY boxes
