Dont be dumb and use your mirrors. Narc,cops,theives etc will try and follow you from the grow store/home depot with clone trays haha.
just dont be a stoner about this one thing. I know its hard not to be a stoner with maryjane.. but this is no joke. It ironic that you cant be a stoner when it comes to dealing with the drug itself.

I put a can of ona gel in my room. Bad idea. Weed tasted like fabric softner. Dont put it in the room. Maybe as a masking agent in the rest of the house.

Plant close to trees.
You dont need all day sun to get buds. Some bud is better than none.
Crop early because some is better than none.
Lst your plants so they dont look like potplants.
I had an outdoorgrow in a tree stand. They got light all day. Off two plants in 1 gallon pots filled with backyard compost and time ferts i got a few zips of some really white renee

Security hasn't been a problem for me.
For one thing, I am fanatical about odor control, so there is NO odor from my grow rooms either in or around my home.
Second, my grow rooms were purpose built internal modifications by me and are TOTALLY hidden (I actually built an internal hidden room that is comprised of three 3'x6' rooms (2 for flowering and one for storage and access to the other stuff) plus a 3'x10' vegging area that is actually above the flowering rooms (I have 12' ceilings in my home). You have to go through a VERY hidden trap door in the back of a closet to get to any of this --- and it is as close to silent and scent free as is humanly possible!).
Third, anyone that breaks in or tries to rip me off while I'm home will leave a really ugly corpse, because I WILL kill anyone, with no hesitation, who comes in my home unwelcomed! I live in a very weed-UNfriendly part of the U.S., but it is also one of the most gun and self defense-friendly areas, so the law is not even a concern. By my state law, if you come in my home unwelcomed, I have every right to kill you on the spot. Period. By coming in my home unwelcomed you present yourself as an immediate threat to the safety and sanctity of my family and home, therefore by law I have every right to kill you by whatever means. Plus, it doesn't hurt that I am a very serious combat handgun competitor (IPSC -- and I've competed in 8 National Championships and dozens of State and Regional Championships, plus I taught self-defense shooting and Tactical Urban combat for several years. More than a few of my former students are over in Afghanistan now [ALL on the U.S. side!!!], ie pulling a gun on me is NOT a smart thing to do!!!
And I don't worry about the cops afterward because my grow is so well hidden. Like I keep telling folks over and over --- stay below the radar and don't draw attention to yourself or your grow, and you'll be relatively secure/safe.
My biggest concern would be if something happened when I wasn't home. I have a couple of hidden cameras in and around my grow rooms hooked into one of my laptops so it records video in a continuous 72-hour loop. At least if someone rips me off I'll get a look at them. How I handle things from that point is purely speculatory at this point in time. But rest assured, I have absolutely NO problem with the concept of revenge. What you do unto me I shall return one thousand-fold.
But all of that is purely hypothetical, because IF NO ONE KNOWS YOU ARE GROWING, THEN BEING RIPPED OFF OR BUSTED IS A NON-ISSUE!!! Keep under the radar and security will take care of itself!

Yea i never go to the store in the same car that i go to my house. I always take routes that lead to dead ends so i know if im being tailed. Just because you jump in another car doesnt mean the chase is off.
