I hear all the time about trimming and topping and stuff like this while in flower dosent this put the plant in shock and slow the budding process? If your doing a micro grow and the only time to do this stuff is while in budding wont they turn hermie or possibly kill the plant?

Avoid if possible. Why cut off your leaves when you need them to help feed your buds.

NEVER cut ur leaves, if they are in the way tie them back etc
and i just LST the top third of my plant 3 weeks into flower because i ran out of room, bud development seems to have not been affected, and it responded really well, no stress , no hermie :)

Is you top it in flower does that just take the energy that was supposed to be for the cola and put it into the other buds? or does it just go in shock for a few days

if yout top in flower , its the same as in veg
it will make the next node the main bud, it may shock for a few days, then return to tis normal growth patter, putting its energy into the nxt buds in line

well i've topped in flower, but not for height issues, but because the main cola got burnt from being too close to the bulb and burn on me.
so i cut it off and it seems as tho the other side colas really fattened up after i did that.

have you considered super-cropping?

i simply bent mine over when it outgrew by closet and began to burn so as to not lose any harvest weight

ya i was out of town for 5 days, i didnt think they would shoot up so much in that time. they are og kush so i thought they would stay short, but they like to stand taller then the rest of their sisters in the garden.

I'm growin og too and height increase hasnt been dramatic maybe a foot in three weeks, I started at 18-21 inches and now they are 26-29 inches, day 16 of flowering, they got wayyy wider though. I bent some back early in flowering but now that they are going strong I will not touch them, time to just do their thing, my 2 cents ~ BCbuddy:leaf:
