How to imbed youtube videos.

Hello peeps i just thought i would post this up for people struggling with embedding their youtube videos as i have been asked this many times so please feel free to share your advice/problems or any questions you may have but its quite straight forward and i hope it helps some people.

I was asked why this would not work by a friend.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpBP9...eature=related. Thats in the link at the top of the page (quoted by friend).

this long shit pops up after i hit Embed (a question i was asked).

Dont hit the embed button and the code will be in your address bar starting with www and get a code like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpBP9.&feature=related

or a link like this.

v=bpBP9dALcWw&feature=related[/URL].

I replied to those questions with these answers.

v=bpBP9dALcWw&feature=related[/URL] (the code sent to me).

My explanation to that was.


Right that link is a perfect example and you want to turn it in to.

[youtube ] bpBP9dALcWw&feature [/youtube ]

there are no spaces in the youtube boxes at the start and end or between the boxes and the code. I had to put them in so it wont work so the space at the first youtube box does not have a space between the youtube and the ] sign. The same applys to the last youtube box it has a forward slash at the start but no space at the end of youtube box.
So its only the code in between the = signs and your boxes at the end (with no spaces).

on the typing interface there is a button second to last on right that if you click it will but the start and stop portions in for you, then just cut and paste the url in between them.

I understand what you mean but i just paste it in the reply box without hitting anything and embed the youtube code that way.
