I usually use trimmings and on ocassion buds, but never males. As far as i know you wouldnt get enough hash to make the work worthwhile. Just stick with weed from females. The higher amounts of thc makes the work worth it because of a bigger yield

BUBBLE HASH:
Once you find out he is a male cut him down at the ground...
Cut him up in small pieces 3" or 4" pieces or so....
and put him in a ziplock baggy and toss in the freezer...
after a day or 2 in the freezer it should be good n froze....
Get a 5 gallon bucket or big container that will hold water...
and fill it 3/4 or so with cold water then add a 1/2 bag of ice to the bucket of water....
Then get your ziplock bag out and dump the contents into the bucket of water and ice....
Get a broom stick or what ever you can find to stir all this up violently...for about a 25 sec count...
let it sit for 10 mins or so then violently mix/stir again...... wait 10 mins or so.....
then violently stir up again.... do this 4 or 5 times, more wont hurt...
Next after it has sat for 10 to 15 mins after the last stir start to pick out the ice cubes and stems and leaves
with your hands or a strainer. DO NOT POUR OUT THE WATER.. you want to pretty much get
all the plant material out that you can then strain all the water into another container to get the rest of the leaf and stem...
You should be left with a yellowish brownish colored water.
Let this sit for 15 to 20 mins...you will notice the water at the top is clear and the bottom is merky or dirty....
SLOWLY and CAREFULLY pour off as much of the clear water you can just dont pour out the "dirty water" in the bottom.
After you pour off the clear water let it sit again for 20 mins or so to settle. once again you should see clear water at the top and "dirty
water" at the bottom. SLOWLY pour off a little more clear water. ..
at this point you should be able to pour whats left in the bucket into a smaller container..you may have to splash a little water in the
bucket to get all the residue out of the bottom of the bucket. continue to pour off the clear water and let it sit until you get down to
what looks like soggy mud...at this point I like to put it in a small cereal bowl or such and slowly turn the bowl and the water will
out run the hash and can be soaked up with a paper towel folded up...it takes a little time to get most all of the water out
but stick to it.. when you have gotten as much of the water out as possible you should be able to scoop the blob up with your fingers
and begin to squish it and need it together. after a few mins of working this between your fingers it will become a ball of Hash
and can be smoked any time you are ready.
This can be done with trimmings from female plants or males or both together. the more plant material you start with the
bigger ball you will end up with.
BHO "Butain Hash/Honey Oil"
Cut plant material up that you plan to make oil out of and let it dry completely ....
its hard to use stems in BHO mainly leaves and trimmings should be used IMO...
Once your stuff is crumbly dry you will need to have a BHO extraction tube to stuff the ground material into.
I use a clear tube "not sure what its made of but it works" you have to be careful when making your tube because
the butain may eat the inside of the tube or melt it away and may not be good for your health...
Cap off both ends of the tube and drill one hole in one end and 4 or 5 in the other end, holes that a pen tip could fit in but not BIG holes
Go to your local tobacco store and get a couple cans of Butain the more refined the better. I use Zippo Butain.
You will see that the butain has a small dull needle tip this should fit snugly into the tube cap with one hole drilled in it.
I like to stick a coffee filter into the cap with 4 or 5 holes drilled in it then jam it onto the tube and wrap a bit of tape around it
to hold it in place. With the bottom of the tube capped off begin to stuff in your dry plant material into the tube until it is
all the way full, then put the single hole cap on and wrap with tape to hole it in place...
Now you have a tube full of weed with a cap on each end, one end fits to the butain can the other filters the goods.
get a small plate and a pan or bowl that the plate will sit right on top of. You are making a colander.
You will want to put warm to almost hot water in the pan/bowl and then set the plate on top to collect the heat from the water.
Now, get your tube and wrap a rag or small towel around it, Butain makes it cold...TOO COLD TO HOLD without gloves or a rag around.
Hold the tube vertically about 5 to 6 inches from the plate with the single hole pointing up and the filtered 4 or 5 holes pointed down
and empty a can of butain into the tube. BE CAREFUL, don't play around at this point, no smoking, matches, lighters or such.
The butain will make its way through the tube and begin to drip out of the other end and will/should boil on the plate.
Put about 1 1/2 cans through it and let the liquid on the plate boil all the way down and become a sticky light brown /light yellow
film on the plate. scrap this up with a razor blade and TA DA Honey Oil.
Oil is hard to work with or transport but sure is effective.

Cut those males up and make bubble hash, you will get hash and it will get you high. Better than just tossing it in the trash IMO.

hey man i made the mistake of using zippo for a few runs and while i didnt notice anything smoking it i later learned that they and other companies use sulfer in there butane to give it a smell
and its def not good for you

Even if it does have Sulfur in it, sulfur wont hurt you.
It turns out that sulfur is present in all the cells of the body. It is a necessary trace element, and without it, we die. That means sulfur is good. Additionally, it is produced (mined) and used on an industrial scale, mostly to make sulfuric acid (H2SO4), the consumption of which by a nation is a direct indicator to the development of that nation. Without it, industry grinds to a halt.
Along with a host of useful substances, sulfur does form some toxic or poisonous compounds, but so do other necessary elements. Wikipedia has more information on this amazing nonmetal, and you'll find a link to that post below.

you can use males...it does contain some thc content...
basically use ALL your scrapes from your harvest...or if its subpar bud you can use it too...
you can make iso hash...its extremely inexpensive, quick, and simple...
1st) get your supplies you'll need 99% iso alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol), a jar, a razor, 2 paper coffee filters, and a large flat surface thats easy to scrape...like a glass table or a pyrex/glass plate.
2nd) take all your trimmings (or whatever you wanna use to make hash) and make sure its cut up decently (but not ground up into powder as you do not want plant matter to make its way through the coffeefilter and into your hash).
3rd) put trimmings in the jar (mason jars work great) add enough alcohol to completely cover the trimmings with alcohol (no more no less) after this put the lid on the jar and seal tightly...shake...shake...and shake some more...for 5-10 mins...by now the iso alcohol should appear to be a greenish color
4th) now take your coffee filters (2 of them together) and place them upside down over the open jar...(rubberbands help keep it on) now turn the jar upside down and allow the iso to drain through (be patient it takes awhile to COMPLETELY drain it...which you should wait for) onto the large surface that will be easy to scrape...once its drained completely just leave the surface near a window or outside (ideally)...wait for it to dry...
once its dry the plate should look sticky/crusty golden or golden brown...this is your hash! scrape it with the razor until the plate is clean...be careful the hash is extremely sticky...i got some on my fingers and i couldnt get it off for nearly the whole day...store in a small container (like a carmex container...the cylinder ones)...then boom its ready to go...
never scrape if you can still smell the alcohol...that means it hasnt funny evaporated and you dont wanna smoke alcohol...haha

haha this brings up a good point, do not ever smoke it if it smells like alcohol still.... See there was this one time as a kid with some stoner friends, we made iso hash as elaborated here and we smoked it a few hours after making it but it was fairly evaporated but still had a slight smell of alcohol and we all ended up puking about 12 hours later and headaches from hell and feeling like we were on some nasty stuff. Ahh the life of "not so perfect children"!
