hey everybody. this will be my second grow here i have 3 bagseed plants going right now. vegging under 4 23w cfl's right now. two 3000k and two 6400k. the largest seedling is a 8 days old while the others are 3 days old. I have a 150watt HPS that ill be saving for flowering. My plan is to get them to about 10 inches and then flower due to a small grow cabinet. ill have to work out some venting when that time comes. any ideas or input is always welcome.

Update

all plants are doing great. the seedlings are fully up and soaking up the light. my bigger one is doing awsome. really great growth in the past 9 days. no nutes yet but i will probably be starting them in another week or so, 1/4 strength. my only problem is keeping the rock wool moist for the seedlings, it seems to dry up quick. so im assuming that means its time to get the small ones in some potting soil so im running down to lowes tonight and picking up some pots to give the little ones a home.

another update

well a seedling died on me from what i think was getting to dried up. the other seedling survived and shows some new growth so im keeping an extra eye on it making sure its moist. My older one is doing pretty good. its growing at a great pace HOWEVER.......the bottom leaves have yelleowed and look pretty rough. No nutes, but the MG potting soil is pre-fertilized. its either that or the tap water i've been using is a little acidic. any knowledge on that would be greatly appreciated. take a look and tell me what you guys think. thanks! ALSO.........the plant is about two weeks and i have reason to believe its already showed sex. i have reason to believe its female which is strange because i figured another 2 weeks would wield that answer. I took pics with my olympia camera which ill try and upload soon for a better shot of the nodes. the iphone won't focus in that good. :peace:

problem of the yellowing has slowed down but hasn't turned around for the better. the bigger plant is getting a 1/4 strength of nutes and the smaller one straight water with ph that i believe is to be under 7.0. the pictures this time around are much more detailed........(found the usb cord to my olympus). im not sure if you guys can see the nodes, but besides the new growth there are two tiny "shoots" that resemble female characteristics but im not sure because i still believe its still to early for the plant to be showing sex. let me know what you guys can see and if you have any suggestions. :peace:

im starting to get a little anxious. I have two autoflower lowyryders and a bubba kush that i want to start soon. Im thinking about throwing the bigger one into flower right now. I wouldn't be expecting much but i'd like to start on the other plants asap and i just dont have enough room. and on the other hand id like to see how the plant would turn out with an early flowering stage set in, sort of an experiment. tell me what you guys think. as for the smaller one i would probably have room to keep vegging that one.

thanks man, i usually use the normal pellets from home depot or lowes but i had bought the rockwool for a DWC grow in the future, a "just to have" kinda thing. ill probably stick with the pellets on soil grows.

happy M-day everyone!

The 1/4 strength nutes have my big one booming with growth. the small one is doing great as well. The only issue i have is the yellowing with brown spots on two of my larger lower fan leaves. It looks like a deficiency but im not sure of what. it doesn't look like nitrogen. maybe one of you guys could have some input.

nothing like nature and a good few bowl packs on a day off!!

Its been about a week or so since my last update. I've switched my lighting to my 150hps and ditched the cfls. Id like to flower pretty soon but ill give them a few days and see how they react to the new light source. My bigger one hasn't showed sex yet but took a nasty hit of some deficiency i couldn't get under control. i ended up fixing my ph and got it down to 6.0 instead of the 7.2 it was at. i ended up doing a transplant as well to get it out of the miricle grow it was in. it seems the growth was stunted but now within the past two days the new growth is coming in fast and healthy like before. as you can see i trimmed the dead leaves off. any idea of the deficiency? or maybe a burn from 1/4 nutes and MG potting soil. anyway.........the other one is doing great. nice green growth and is short and fat. lets hope when the time comes their girls!!!!:peace:

its been awhile........ the plants are doing great. i started flowering, 12/12 and i've seen the plants respond with some sex parts showing. there not big enough yet to tell what exactly they will be but its looking promising. The shorter plant is something special i believe. I had gotten some seeds from a doctor and must have accidently planted one thinking it was bagseed. The bud was purplish orange and a medium amount of crystals. the smoke was killer. im not sure but i guess i'll have to wait and see. :peace::peace:

Looks like nute burn to me. You have to be careful with MG. I always use MG and burned my babies only once (the first time using).

yeah, i think that was the cause there doing much better now though, it as pretty close though, it almost took over half the plant, but i guess i made the right call by a transplant.
