Plant ready for nutrients?

My plant is 16 days old and is finally starting to develop heavy serrated leaves..I have two questions..In the picture, the bottom leaf seems to have one point that is a little damaged, does this look like it is a problem? Also, does it appear that this plant is ready for nutrients? i have heard that you should begin wit nutrients around this stage but wasnt positive

yup they're ready for nutes. If your using chemical nutes, start out with half or quarter strength. organic can go full strength, just the amount recomended on the label though.

worddd good to hear, any recommendations on good affordable liquid nutrients? I feel like it is definitely easier to mix nutrients with water than to mix em in with soil

LOL now I dont grow Soil but I think you are supposed to Mix the nutes in water and pour the water on the soil. not mix the nutes in the soil LOL

no but there are nutrients such as bad guano, perlite, that you physically mix in with the soil..I was saying that i want to use liquid nutrients over nutrients that have to be mixed within the first few inches of the soil

Bio Bizz's Bio Grow and Bio Bloom has worked really well for me. Also added mollasess.

ok i see what you mean but perlite isnt a nute im pretty sure its just something that buffers the nutes in the soil so hotspots are less likely

i recommend fox farm

Go with Fox Farm, liquid nutes are much easier to deal with. Perlite is mixed with the soil when the palnt are potted to help aerate, improve irrigation, and promote root growth. Start and 1/4 strenght nutes and gradually move up to 1/2 strenght; wouldn't recommend going over 1/2. Use the molasses in your flow stage.
