dry petfood mixed in with soil?

idk i remember reading somwhere about mixing dry dog or cat pet food with the soil. i dont remember why though. for nutes probly, maybe for airation like perlite or somthing.
im not saying this is good im wondering has anybody tried this or have any knowledge of it? :joint:
 
Sounds like one of those 'one toke over the line', good ideas, that aren't.

I'd rate it along with adding Froot Loops to the soil for 'flavor'.

what kind of nutrients, does cat food or dog food contain that would be beneficial to marijuana???

I'm pretty sure dog food is part of some of Jerry Baker's concoctions.

EDIT:
They usually contain bone meal so calcium for sure.

Heh, yea so I was looking at my dogs bag of blue buffalo and that stuff looks primo. It's like FFOF without the bat shit! It's got alfalfa, kelp, bone, blood meal, fish oil, chelated iron/calcium/manganese, potassium, and phosphorous. Might not be too bad at $50/bag depending on how much you'd have to use.

One time I read on the forums that someone heard if you put fruit loops on your bowl your weed taste like fruit.

Too sum it up dont believe everything you read.

i might try it
on one plant mix in a cup of catfood (its pretty good all natural iams they are faaaat cats), and have foxfarm ocean forest for a base. like a 5th grade science experiment and compare the two.
 
i think that maybe ground up in really small doses might work, but it might introduce weird microorganisms to the soil that may cause algae or mold issues, i don't know... what's the advantage?
Rosenthal and others have warned NOT to use feces from carnivorous animals because of the pathogens and bacteria, so logic would lead you to believe that carnivorous food would possibly contain the same hazards.

im fairly sure he said BOTH you could "flavor" your bud fruity by grinding fruit loops into ur bowls, as well as feeding it to the plants hahahah
wouldnt be surprised if it was some guy just out for shits haha but it was quite funny

so you gonna try it out? you might be on to somethinng, probally not, but hey, ya never know. I'm open to some pretty weird ideas if they really work.

...Yeah but have you ever tried pouring water onto dog food? It stays wet for a long time and i can only imagine it would rot. You may get away with this shit on an outdoor grow, but inside its got to be a no no. I mean, why not just buy some bone, blood and fish its the same price as the dambed dog chow :peace:
 
No, I don't grow organic and I've already spent money on dirt and fertilizers. But if I was in a pinch it certainly looks better than nothing. I'd grind it up myself as well as look for a cheaper alternative.
