i think cops are trained to hide behind there cars and WAIT until they actually see a WEAPON.

I'd shot first ask questions later. Sure he may or may not have had a weapon. Your a cop on a scene and it's tense. This dude has fled and has already assaulted officers and people in the past. So if I see some fuck reaching for his waist band...someone known to be violent with police...I shot first ask later. Especially if I have kids and a family at home. He could have easily given up and hit the dirt with his hands on his head. I think he didn't want to go back to jail and started to reach for shit that wasn't there so they would take him out. Cowards way out I see it.
I know how Fdd feels about the police and firearms so I see where he is coming from.
But fdd man if you in some alternate reality had children and a wife but happened to be a cop....and some dude runs for no reason with a long rap sheet and is reaching for suspected weapons...i'd hope you fire as well.

if he got on the ground and didn't play mr. tuff guy he'd be out of jail in a few days on bail and could cause some more crimes. Don't act as a threat and you wont be treated as one.

Yeah maybe dude fucked up by getting in a high speed chase and reaching for his waist but that doesn't constitute being shot to death.........I think a lot of these police are poorly trained......it seems like more and more police are freaking out and just shooting first now a days.........

i agree with this. yes he fucked up with the high speed chase and he fucked up even more by reaching for his waist. police are taught to deal with situations without having to use deadly force every time. so every time a citizen gets pulled over and flinches or acts shady, he or she has to die? what if someones mom goes into diabetic shock while driving and disregards police orders and continues to drive? when she finally does stop, she in a daze reaches to undo her seatbelt......eat hot lead bitch. you shouldnt have disobeyed the strong arm of the law. oh yeah umm these police are not our best friends and as much as people defend them, they do not like most of us. we are outlaw rebel pot smoking hippies who are dangerous scumbags out to kill babies because of this highly dangerous drug we love.

I'm a fan of Singapore style justice. Which is not popular in the touchy-feely hearts of most of my fellow Americans.
But to answer your question, yes, if someone steels and runs, I think they should be shot down as well. It would curb crime big time. If you know you're not going to make it, you're going to think twice, then think twice again before you steal shit from me.
