wow. is the soil drying out every day??

I wouldn't water them unless the top layer plus an inch or two under the top layer of the soil.. is dry.

you'll end up over watering your plants man. It's not a good thing.. at all.

Secondly, with new young sprouts.. until they get about 2 weeks old they're better off left under flourescent or cfl lighting... let them get a little stronger and used to light before putting them under HPS or MH lights.

I would also advise you to read man.. doesn't sound like you've done much research about growing. :|

good luck.. but remember what I said. Go out there and read... read read READ! until your eyes go crossed.. ppl around here aren't going to just tell you every step along the way.

peace and good luck to ya's.

thanks for the reply.. i do read, this is why my setup is near as perfect in all aspects. i do alot of research but the best advice to get are forums.. people with experience.. for e.g., which nutrients are best? search it on google, they all say "best nutes for you plants" in forums, they say which is best according to the results they gained... otherwise, whats the point of forums.

the plants are 1st week, it wont need 18hrs light, this is what veg needs when its grown about 5 leaves or more..plants a bit too small to be thinking its in week 4 isnt it.... it only has 2 small leaves,. if i put these plants in 18hrs light, it will bleach them!

dude take you halogen and throw it the f out. get 4 23 watt CFLs from home depot and veg with those. the bigger they get the more light, so add a few as you go. make sure that they 4100K-6700k, 6700k being the best for veg. 2700K are best for flowering. its a very warm color while 6700K is a bluish. stick with water for now but try every two days maybe every other. you really need to watch your plants and see their reactions.

i was thinking about that, (4 23 watt CFLs) ... thanks.. i only needed good lights for the begining as i have a 600hps light... far to early to use them this is why i was asking about the early stages..
