hey...

i am nearly on week 2 (this saturday).. the plants only have 3-4 small leaves... (2cmin length)...

is this normal? i havent placed it under my 600w hps light yet nor in my hydroponics setup as i was told it was too early...currently, for the time being, i have placed 3 plants under a x2 105w cfl lights...

are my plants under growing? dis it ready for my hydro and under the 600w hps light? if not, when will it be?

how tall are they, do they have nodes?

hard to tell if they are stunted or not without pictures. from my experience, my plants at 2 weeks tend to have about 4 nodes on average, and stand around 5-8" tall. its at 10"-12" tall that i start my flowering cycle (your size will double maybe triple during the entire flowering phase). good rule of thumb, keep them under those cfl's (maybe add another?) until 3-6 weeks, then put it under your hps. just my take.

imo the cups are fine. yes your plants should have been bigger for 2 weeks, again my opinion though, some people might say thats normal. with my babies about 4-6 inches away from my lights (T5HO 4ft 6tubes) they get to where yours is in about 3 days, just much shorter (yours are stretching for more light, and probably more focused on that than growing nodes etc).

get those lights closer, like within 3-4", and place a therm right next to the seedling, if its too warm get a small deskfan for now, and point it at your light to dissipate the heat.

and i would really recommend getting another one or two of the lights your using for seedlings if this is how you plan on doing it in the future as well.

i moved the light closer.. 3inches.. i just noticed that some leaf tips are curling... usually means not enough water..i think.

When are you gonna transplant them? now is a pretty good time.
i wanted to place them in my hydro now but i have a serious light heat issue with my 600w hps light.. it has a cooltube etc... good vent and its reaching 97*F!

im just going to buy x2 300w lights. what do you think? besides i dont want to exhAUSt hot air into the outside due to thermal detectors...
