So I went to local Barnes & Nobles and paid cash :) for 2 grow books...

1) Logan Edwards "Grow Great Marijuana"

2) Jorge Cervantes "The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Marijuana Grower's Bible".

Both are amazing. I devoured the Edwards book the first night, reading it all before bed and loved it. Great beginner book, easy to follow and understand.

I'm now working my way through the Cervantes tomb, literally called the "Bible of growing". Its like a freaking encyclopedia. Chock full of awesome info, TONS of color pics, its an awesome work.

Maybe this is all old hat you pros here, but for me it was a TON of help so far. Keep learning! :) bongsmilie

I say dont read any books, just start threads on here like "how do I grow weed" and "is my nitelight from my hallway enough light for my plants"

...you could've downloaded those books for free.
Stuff like this makes me laugh. What's wrong with buying a good book. I don't think the internet will ever replace a book.
Even with Ipad and all those fancy things I still like to flip through a book.

Cultivators Handbook of Marijuana by William Daniel Drake published way back in the 70's is the only book you'll ever need. Most of the important info is available on google books. While some of the techniques maybe a bit antiquated, I can assure you growing plants is not. All these other author's just elaborated on Bill's book. :)
