Im growing with 200 watt hps light and im wondering if i can use this as my socket can i use it?, if i use it do i need a ballast?

P.S the it says it can hold up to 250 watts and 250 volts.

You will need to get ballast for your HPS light and it will have a Mogul base.

Your best bet it to buy a complete Light, Ballast & Reflector set :joint::peace:
