Slow Growth - No Growth

IMG00720-20100611-1615.jpgIMG00717-20100611-1613.jpgIMG00718-20100611-1613.jpgIMG00716-20100611-1613.jpgIMG00721-20100611-1615.jpgHey my plants are 4 weeks old and don't seem to be growing fast enough. They're all healthy with no signs of problems just slow growth. I've replanted two of them up to their first pair of leaves (because their original conditions were too hot and caused them to fall over?) They've grown a pinch and appear to be a week old.The other two plants are growing moderately slow and were not replanted. I've got them on AN and the temp is 79 degrees. I have 800W of light and sufficient exhaust. The only thing I've been poor on is their light schedules. I know for low ryder 2 you don't need to change the schedules to induce flowering. Ideally they should get 18-6 or 20-4 or 24-0. I try to keep it at 18-6 but it never happens ( more like 18-12=30lol). I need a timer for sure. I've compared mine to others that are 4 weeks along and mine seem slow.

Why aren't they growing speedily?

800w of what kind of light? though i cant imagine 800w of any type of light isnt enough, unless maybe its completely out of the plants usable spectrum.

there is a slight possiblilty it is just a runt.

klosetking come on we all know 800w is more than enough
klosetking is talking about the spectrum of light that the lamps are putting out. it could be 8x100w house light bulbs that this guy is using therefore no usable spectrum of light for plants.

800w of HPS or MH or CFL yes is enough but thats not what he asked the OP.

true enough I keep getting confused when I read "tho I cant imagine 800w of any type of light isnt enough"

prolly those plants need more light

they are 100w equivalents not actual watts.

So you are actually only using 216watts

How close are these lights to your plants?

they should be about 1inch away from your plants and you will only really be able to grow 1 plant with this many lights.

If you go HPS you can use a DUAL SPECTRUM lamp
i personally use the 600w DUAL SPEC lamp.

This is good for Veg and flower using just 1 single lamp.

I do however use a 200w CFL for about 10days after propagation

lol so every1 else talk about lights ;) but this guy has stunted growth, how old are they for 1 . 2 what kinda soil they usein ? and is that mulch??. 3 how much are u watering them.

because they should be in atleast sum kind of medium not just mulch. u should be watering them when the water is completly gone or when the pot feels light. when there over 2/3 weeks u can give them a lil fert. iv had good luck with 24:8:16 (cloest to 20:10:20 i could find).

I think they were right. They 4 weeks old. Its miracle grow. I water them with 2mL AdvNutes:1L distilled water every 3 days. ya it looks mulchy on top. I could take off the huge chunks but doesn't hurt I guess.

yes i was definitely just talking about usable spectrum earlier, ive seen people grab ten of those grow lights out of walmart, and find out later that it was a total waste (they only put off a green glow to make plants look good, but the spectrum is actually damn near completely unusable).

at 4 weeks with no obvious signs of nute burn or deficiencies, yes my diagnosis was either runt seeds or insufficient lighting, and i stand by it.

get true watts if you are gunna use cfl's, the equivalents dont do anywhere near enough light. think of it this way, shoot for 10,000 lumens per plant. if you can get halfway there, your doing much better. i average about 8,000 lumens per plant (25,000/3).
