I see this all the time DONT make seeds with hermis yes you'll have a higher percentage of females but they will also have the hermi trait passed down..TRUE females with the XX genotype cant be herm'd no matter how much stress you give them they must be chemicly induced into males then and only then can you make true 99% female seeds but a TRUE female is 1 in 1000+..most female seeds that have herm'd are Xx genotype and still have the resesive male genotype in them this is because they took an XX female and crossed it with an Xx female where you end up with the resulting offspring being either XX or Xx <---this being your hermis if you got a full on male then someone didnt put the work in

Hermies arent a "trait" that get passed down, its part of the plants genetic code to ensure its survival. You cant just "weed out" a hermaphrodite from ever being in your garden by genetic traits. If this could be done, seed companies would sell 100% female no hermie seeds. So...... no?

BTW -- for those reading this thread now, realize it started in April 2010. The entire title of the thread is likely outdated as the Nirvana seeds are surely changed out at this point. For some reason people keep getting into seed bank arguments or tryin to strut their post count up in this thread....................... Wish there was a "close" button.

I am growing nirvana's NYPD right now, it's my first grow but my plants are bushy as fuck and short, they look like indica, nirvana's site says mostly sativa but it's all good, check out my grow if you want...

Argument is such a harsh word...lets just call it an opinionated debate! Sounds alot better to me! But there is no close button...but you are welcome to leave the thread if you want because i'm kinda glad you started it...excuse me if im rambling...

Sup josh...mine too...if you go one page back you can see my pics...the bottom is crazy bushy and the time is all budded out...i start week 7 of flowering in 48 hours...

I'll post pictures in my grow journal later tonight, but out of the 2 that were male, and the 3 left over the 3 left under the lights for week 9 of flowering right now all look atrocious. That's for the April supply though, I wont know how their replacements that I got at the early June week will fare out until they begin flowering.

also i know people whov used Nirvana, most satisfied...i would bet money that nirvana make a stoned mistake and mixed femd seeds with regular...and u happen to get a shitty pack...prolly why they were so quick to send you more istread of telling you to F* off, or as iv read just not respond to your e mails

i hope it all worked out for you, friend... I have done 4 grows so far, 3 of my grows came from Nirvana seeds and every single time every snigle seed has been female and has produced dank ass highest quality nugget i could have hoped for... i've been so pleased its never even crossed my mind that they could possibly be shiesters, or shoddy business dudes.... The one grow that I had that was not Nirvana was from a bag of Northern Light seeds from "Gypsy Nirvana Seed Boutique" that my buddy gave to me (becasue he ordered the seeds then bugged out and got too nervous to plant them... his loss! ) Anyway, those were the worst seeds i've ever grown... or, TRIED to grow... The genetics on ALL 10 seeds were so shitty it was almost hard to believe (and i know the seeds were legit from SB becasue I was there when he ordered them, I was there when he received them, and I was there when he put them in his refrigertor for storage, and then a week later he just gave them to me).... anyway all 10 seeds (2 planted in hydro, 4 planted in aeroponics, and the other 4 in soil, but 2 different soil grow rooms) ... anyway.. as soon as they srpouted, ALL of them... they had their first small round leaves come as normal but then the first set of rigid leaves were ALL spotty with these yellow specks all over them and they grew in whacked out formations rather than straight up and they started to get bumps all over their main stem.... and they all had the SAME EXACT thing happen to them and they were all planeted in different mediums, at different times, and in different locations.... and they ALL had the same unhealthy issues beginning 5-8 days after initial sprouting.... I mean, I got some nug off them, but the yield was weak, real weak, the potency was okay, not horrible, but for a 3 and a half foot tall plant (on average) i think the largest yield i got out of all 10 was about 22 grams from one plant.... the others all ended up with 1/2 oz or less (the numbers arent exact, but they were so weak it was a sad pathetic event).... but thankfully I had some beautiful white widow ladies tall strong and happily willing to "serve me" .. LOL...

yea dude this is why after this year im never buying seeds again....too many reasons to buy clones: they arent expensive, they save u growing time, you dont have to ship them, guarenteed females ect
