You want to leave all the leafs on, you want it to hang dry untill the leafs change color (green goes away) once this happens you can trim and jar em, it is this change in color occuring that lets you know proper curing (fermentation) is taking place, the drowning to start this process while alive assures it has started and will continue once you chop and that remaining nutes in the plant will be used up in this process
not disagreeing or anything lol, just lookn ta see what you think. iv always been told to chop most leaves off within a few hours of taking it off the plant because the chloryfil(spelt tht wrong?) will recede into the buds and cause a bad taste, and deactivate CBC,THC,and canabanoids.
what do you think of this?

Great thread Riddle. Thanks for the invite. And funny you started with this: "What it amounts to is a way to start the cure prior to harvest while the plant is still alive. This is an incredible find as far as I am concerned and I can not wait to try it. what it amounts to is starving the plant of oxygen by drowning it, if in hydro take away the bubbles or spray fill the tank with water and wait, if in a pot either continuously water it (keep it wet/soaked) or stick the pot in a bigger bucket of water."
That is my basically my first step in the 'drying process'. Heres some pics of the plant harvested (first stage that is) I do not keep the entire rootball intact. Just a small litte ball. And the solution it will go into is just myco madness. Just to keep things clean. It will remain there 5-7 days. And will get 5 or 6 hrs of shaded or indirect light during this period. Then hung, still intact until it dry enough the branches snap from the main stem. The secondary branches should still have some give to them. If not. Then they dryed too fast or you waited too long. View attachment 997140View attachment 997141 And as you can see, already manicured. When spend so much time loving them. Just to give them a slow painful death! And cant wait to try the old hippy way vs. this one.

Anybody have info or advice on growing autoflowering plants,i bought 10 different kinds one seed each to see what does the best, any help would be really great!

haha ya chlorophyll dont move, the are in "sacs" in the leaves. also some in buds maybe. chlorophyll is evaporated slowly through the drying process. when you dont dry properly or too fast you dont evaporate the chlorophyll, from the buds, causing the bad harsh taste and hay smell.

Autoblueberry-fruitautomatic-sweetdwarf,dieselryder-snowryder-bigbudda automatic-lowboldt-60day wonder-mi5- are the autoflowering kinds i bought, any expeirence with any of these?

hey cowboy, do you have any experience with fox farm beastie bloomz and Cha ching?
I do. Use the entire FF lineup. Beastie is only needed for a few weeks. Start right when you start to see buds form. Usually week 3 or 4. Then change to the Cha Ching. Thats just the basics. Using any other nutes?

ya Snow Storm Ultra, Growtek Silica ph buffer, Huvega Mag, Molasses, and Starting Bloombastic tonight. with the FF soluble line up.

ok, my question is, how much of the beastie bloomz and cha ching do you use per watering per gallon. i use distilled water and i have been running em a little more than 1/2 a teaspoon a gallon a watering, which in distilled water puts me at about 300 PPM. then which every thing else i get to about 500 PPM. my hydro shop said to run the FF to 800 PPM or more then add the rest of my additives, but of course im scared as hell to burn them. (already burn one a little bit a week and a half ago. since then hasnt put much mass on the buds)

With the other bloom nutes I would say 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gal should do. I would say if you go to 800. You should not need much more bloom food. They both do pretty well stand alone. If you go that high and use some of the others, just watch your plants closely. They will tell you if they like it or not. The Cha Ching does a very nice job the final few weeks on its own.

Ok. Well I have seen some side by sides with bloombastic and it is pretty dramatic at the weight it'll put on. Used on same strain. Well I'll use 1/2- 3/4 and go to maybe 550-600 ppm and then add my others. The snowstorm and bloombastic help greatly increase nutrient uptake. Also te bloombastic is a pk booster as well.

So do you use 1/2 a tsp per gallon on yours? Or more than that?

I never go over 1/2 tsp. But I also use Tiger Bloom. Now that stuff will burn em up if you dont watch it. And with all nutes. It can vary greatly strain to strain. An even pheno to pheno. The Orange Bud I just harvested. Can take all of the food you can possibly imagine. Love that strain.

oooh really, changing colors? what colors? also, do you think transplanting mine to buckets with no holes in the bottom and flooding them in that, after a good flush, would work
