Q's : What type of light is being run? Whats the soil you're using?

- A little trim of the bottom fan leaves will give more energy for the rest of the plant to gain some size.

I'm not exactly sure what the soil is but I only have (1) 6500k full spectrum CFL and then wrapped poster board around the pot to catch the light with the fan blowing downwards. I don't plan on growing this out very much it's just my first time experimentation.

Edit: The soil seems to be working alright, but it was something that had another plant in it. I took the plant out and cleaned out the soil and that's what I'm using for my first time. I'm just now learning, so next time I'll know a little more about what I'm doing. It's probably growing just fine and I'm getting paranoid. It's been shooting out a lot of foliage on the grow shoots they just haven't extended out to far yet. All I want to know is if it's normal for the grow shoots to take a little while before they really start branching out. If it makes any difference the seed is Northern Lights x Purple Haze which i was told was an original 1970's strain of Purple Haze that was crossed bred with the northern lights by the person I got it from.

ah man, you did trim em? i wish i woulda seen this thread earlier so i could tell you b4 you went and did it. Look up low stress training, it will give you multiple top colas and maximize your lighting.
