Is White Widow really what it's pumped up to be?

OP, I have grown out Nirvana WW before. I did two runs with it from 10 seeds(8 females). She's a lower yielder. 1 ounce per plant when flowered at 11 inches under a 400w. Second run flowered at around 16 inches and again 1 ounce per plant. Aside from the low yield, its a fair deal for the price. Many of the people around here called it Dro, but I didnt find it anything amazing, but definitely a good smoke.

I personally would go for the original, and not buy from other breeders who are usually just passing off knockoffs. That or they buy Mr. Nice Black Widow, and they sell f2's of it, but you really never know which, so go for Mr. Nice I say.

white widow should always (in my opinion) be vegged till 24'' minimum then you are usually guarenteed 2/3 oz per plant with a 600w HPS and advanced nutrients - every 1 has different results no matter wot the strain - the enviroment and skill of the grower is the biggest factor with yield

i flowered my WW at about 12 inches.. and both times got over 3 ounces. =) I got mine from Nirvana.. and i only used CFL's.. soo if u have an HPS or w.e. u might get more. i like to think of WW as a high yielder

No. I meant 3 oz. dry. and its ok. you dont have to buy it. Here's the proof...

just weighed my 2nd harvest.. and i got 86.3 grams dry.. soo about 3.30 ounces. =) not bad for CFL's. Im gettin a 250 watt HPS to add to the mix for this next grow. =)

Congratulations! Not bad at all for CFLs. I realize you're only growing one plant at a time allowing the entire plant to absorb all the light and breathe easily. I'm doing SOG where each plant doesn't get as much freedom to grow as does a single plant. Hey, but with a pound per 600W HPS, I'm not complaining

Thanks. yea alotta ppl give CFL growers shit and say u can grow a nice plant with CFL's.. or get a nice yield with CFL's.. or the buds u get arent dense/solid.. but im here to STRONGLY disagree with that. lol. not saying that CFL's are better or anything.. but they're not trash either. I will be getting a 250 watt HPS really soon to add to the CFL's. Gonna have the HPS on top.. and CFL's all along the side. =)

he msutta had a bad pheno or sumthin.. or maybe Nirvana's White Widow yields more.. cuz i used CFL's and got 3x that? You guys should go with Nirvana's WW.

Bricktop: can you confirm to me that White RINO does have a significant (40 percent) amount of sativa bred into this strain? And do you agree that this mix of sativa makes the smoke very different in the stoning characteristics? I am currently flowering two Rinos. I have never smoked Rino.
