Ok I am gonig to be growing some auto seeds. i am going to start by growing 4 in a grow cabinet. I want to breed my first female to insure that i will have seeds to continue growing and maybe try a little cross breeding between autos. My question is, if i end up with 2 or 3 females and 1 or 2 males in this cabinet... is there a good way to insure that only 1 of the females gets polinated? Or would i be better off to only grow 2 plants at a time until i end up with 1 male and 1 female?

Yes, just make sure you separate the male(s) and the one female you want to pollinate from the rest of the crop.
Ensure that you do not act as a carrier of pollen from one from one grow area to another.

You can also move out all the males, and collect the pollen in a film cannister, and use this to pollinate the females you want to cross with.

Hope that helped.

Good luck

You will have to remove males if you don't want all the females to be pollinated. Separate the male, throw him outside if you can. When his flowers start to pop, collect a few in a jar, shake them around until you see pollen on the glass. Take a small artist's brush, collect the pollen, and gently brush it onto a few lower buds of your female. You may have to store the pollen in the fridge if you don't have buds yet. This has worked for me in the past.

If it were me, I wouldnt keep a female that you plan on flowering and a male in the same house, or outside. Your best bet is to grow 2 and hope for 1 male one female. Or grow all 4 and keep the best looking female at the time, then try to grow the unneeded females in another room.

ok, i think i am going to try this method... i don't have the option of growing it outside, but i could get a CFL on a lamp and grow the male in a seperat room for a week till it starts to open its flowers start to open... then i could bging 1 female down and polinate her seperately... I only have 1 place to gro and i guess if i end up with 2 or 3 polinated females i guess i just have to live with that. its my 1st grow and i know i want to have seeds for later. i paid for 10 seeds, but i got 11...

I'm wondering the same thing! Mine are hopefully at most a week away from showing sex and I want some more seeds. I have 2 short rider 4 weeks old today.

I've read that you can just pollinate a "lower" branch and get a decent amount of seeds, is this true? Any links or info would be great!
