Hi oneinthechamber,

I don't think your FIM succeed, do you see, your new leaves are cut on the tip as well, even if you didn't cut them. I try the FIM too with my plants this year and got the same problem. The only solution then is to top them (or try a new FIM but this opperation brings stress so you shouldn't do it too much).otherwise your plant will continue to grow with stranges half leaves.
Apart from that I like your grow, I am too using low wattage.

My next grow I am considering growing the Short Rider feminized autoflowering seeds from Nirvana. Anyone have any experience with this strain?

im doin the same thing i got a 150w and a 70 hps from lowes works great heat always issue till i made a cool toob and took balask out of the closet

yeah, i have my ballast inside of a metal box with air vents so that helps out with the heat a little, thinking about making some extensions and moving the ballast outside of my closet. Also how can I make my own cool tube? I heard about using a candle chimney or something of the sort.

Also germinated 2 more seeds (from some killer shit i smoked a while back, nothing special just good shit.) Planted them today and I am going to grow them 12/12 light schedule from seed to harvest. A little experiment I want to do. Will post some more pics when they sprout out of the ground.

Pictures soon, my zoom is kinda blurry for some reason, im getting pissed at the camera! I know my cell cam won't be worth a damn for spotting preflowers in a picture.

Ha, I hear ya. I take all my pics you see with my cellphone, it just sucks. You can't take a close up pic or else it'll just be blurry lol.

Hey I think I spotted pre-flower indications today. I spotted white hairs coming out in multiple places over my plant. In a few days when they become more visible I will see If I can't get my digital camera to zoom in on the pre-flowers and try to get a shot clear enough so an experienced grower can tell me for sure if they are preflowers and hopefully not male pre-flowers, but I have checked the plant thoroughly up and down and all across each branch and I have not spotted any bumps, pollen sacks, or balls, or whatever you like to call them. Just hairs so far! I am making sure to keep out all light from entering my growbox inside of my closet. I keep the closet door closed and put a cardboard made border around my box to make sure no light may sneak it's way in there to cause any hermies or other disasters. Hopefully if my instincts are right and this plant is a FEMALE, I will get at least 14-28 grams from her. I also upgraded my box a little with a little intake/outake exhaust fan that sucks and blows out all the old oxygen and blows fresh oxygen back to the plants. Works great and is so small works great for a growbox. Didn't even have to cut any holes in my box to install it! Hopefully the plants will love thieir new fan, I was just using an old box fan to keep the aircirculated but no way possible would it fix inside of the grow box and I don't think it was circulating the air very well at all.

Yeah, I just thought those were some pretty good bud porn, lol. I have only smoked Blue Haze, G13, Orange Kush, Purp, and a lot of good unknown strains, around here we call the good sensi bud "kb (kind bud), headers (top grade marijuana, usually to top main cola, and Beasters (B grade mariujana, usually the lower underdeveloped buds or buds that aren't a dense, popcorn buds), and Zoners (the shit that will put you in the zone, couch lock (hence the name, "Zoners".

Switched out fans for my grow today, swapped out the old big box fan for a smaller more compact fan that I can keep inside of the box at all times. I figure this would be good in many ways, help air circulation, and I heard the stems like a little air flow.

My fan as of now, I haven't done any customizations yet.

Here is a link to what I am considering to do with my fan when I upgrade to a 400 watt HPS Lighting System. (the 3rd pic) This is what I plan on doing with my new fan eventually, looks pretty well done. should I just keep my fan inside my grow box? My grow box is two 20 gallon Rubbermaid containers stacked on top of each other one down and one up to form a box, my lights are in the top rubbermaid, plants in the botton rubbermaid. Lights are as close to plants as possible without causing any problems, should I change my setup to make the fan take it air from outside the box and blow it back into the box or should I just leave the fan inside the box just circulating the air inside. Should I cut a whole in the side of my box the size of the fan where the sides of the fan can pull in fresh air from outside the box and blow the fresh air into my grow box? Any suggestions, I am a new grower and I could use all the help I get. I can't wait to get my next student loan for college this coming fall semester so I can get a real deal light and setup. I plan on getting the 250 dollar deal from HTG Supply, you get a complete grow kit with organic soil, 400 watt HPS with ballast and bulb and all, ready to plug in, as well as 9 growing bags (2 gallons each bag) and Fox Farm Nutrients, everything you need but the seeds! I think they even include a timer, not sure though, anyways when I get that I will be experience a little with the grows I am going with my CFL/Low Watt (70) HPS Mixture Grow Box. My plants are growing pretty good, but I would love it when I get my HPS and I can grow more plants at the same time and actually get a yield decent enough to keep my personal use free, except for electricity and a few minors.

Here is an update on my grow. Things are going good so far. I am about a week or so into the 12/12 lighting schedule. I heard it could take 2 weeks to identify sex under the 12/12 light/dark schedule. Anyways here are some new pics of the grow progress. Does anyone see any good signs of female sex?

Can anyone look at the plants and tell if they are more indica or sativa dominant? Both are pretty bushy and stout, but I have topped both of them so that may also contribute to the bushiness of the plants.

Hey there my bro, nice beauties you got well maintained there. Those plants look like a 50/50 indica/sativa mix, which will be a comfortable couch-lock with an uplifting energetic effect, great for social events. On the other hand, my grow is alright except for the fact when I took off my box today to inspect my grow and put it back for the last hour of lighting it had, I somehow knocked the light right over my plants and I felt something wasn't right about an hour into it's dark period since I heard a clinging noise when I put the box back over but didn't think much of it at the time and it maybe fried a seedling or two that was popping out but idk I'll check them here in an hour or so when the lights come back on. Aw man that sucks, I accidently killed a couple of mine when I was starting the grow out, it happens to everyone. Thanks for the comment, I am really trying to do my best at this grow and hopefully I will get something worth while out of it.

My bigger plant ended up being 100% MALE I am still going to let the other plant keep growing until it shows signs of sex. Oh well, what can you expect from bag seed anyways, next go around im upgrading to a 400 w hps and am going to order some fem seeds from Nirvana or Attitude.
