Nice looking buds. And thanks for the post and checking in. But what are you comparing? Got any pics of one not fimmed or topped? Results are results. Nice grow. But we want to compare methods. Thats why I started this thread.

comparison in double your yield in sig below/this thread at beginning - fimming plus pruning vs fimming alone. fimming alone plant is the comparison plant and will be done in a couple of weeks, as will a second fimming + pruning plant. this was an early chop for personal reasons but will still out yield fimming only plant. better comparison will be to look at fimming only plant compared to second fimming plus pruning plant harvested at same time.

My bad, sorry Rat. Goes to show, even started at the same time. Once you begin trimmimg/topping ect... Its does change the finish time.

P.S. Clones involved in your grow? Lowryders in your first post. . Equality is the name of the game when it comes to "too top or not" edit: about yield, what method is best?

no clones for comparison, everything from seed. was a mystery seed from seed bank but all stopped growing at 8 inches thus lowryder assumption.

no - 3 females in total. the one cut is fimmed/pruned. one of the other two is as well. the third one is fimmed only. the double the yield is fimmed/pruned vs fimmed alone. comparison to come in a couple of weeks but in fullness of sharing info let everyone know i cut one of the comparison plants down early. but will still count in comparison. that's all.

Things are progressing. Got some promising clone pairs to work with. journal 310.jpg I will get them in dixies this weekend and see how they progress the next few weeks. And I have these 2 plants. Sharksbreath on the left. Unknown on the right. Its a clone I lost track of. Either a Querkle or Amnesia Lemon. Will know for sure when flowering is under way.journal 307.jpg I just transplanted them from 3 gal pots to these 20 ga containers. Both were topped per Uncle Bens 'Top for two'. Pinched above the third node just after the seventh node appeared. The SB ended up a triple. WooHoo!journal 305.jpg The ? typical two.journal 306.jpg So we have a pair and threesome to top and work with. I think so anyways. They are both well balanced, node for node that is, top too top. In my opinion we should be able to get some very fair comparisons. I mean one branch pruned this way. The other either pruned different or unpruned. Same plant, food enviroment, factors ect... What do you think? And an update on the Super Cropped Orange Bud. Put it on 12/12 a few days ago. Its still under the sun, I just cover it for 12 a day. And its getting a good 7 hrs of full sun a day.journal 309.jpg Its going to be a dandy.

You're growing trees and I get stuck with lowryder for my seed bank mystery seeds. Where's the justice? Your trees are looking great. I'm probably gonna chop the main colas tonight from my fimmed-only plant and my fimmed and pruned plant tonight. I'll post the wet and dry weight comparison.

you should super crop them..bend the branches with two fingers .done right they dont brake, but develope a knot that makes the branches stronger...more buds.

Well Rat these 2 plants were topped and headed for an outdoor summer. They were not part of the original plan. And I say topped per UB method. I have been topping plants in this manner long before coming across UB. But since I have had such a hard time getting clones off to an even start I decided to add these two. And we will treat each branch as an individual plant. One branch on the SB will be stair stepped using your method. One branch I will lollipop. And the remaining branch will be left untouched.(it may get a bit of pruning down low, but nothing drastic) Then the ? plant with 2 tops. Havent decided exactly what to do with it. Any ideas? And do you get what I am up too now? Malenius, The Orange Bud plant above is our supercrop patient. I also have a White Russian 4 top that was supercropped. Its now inside in the flower chamber. EDIT: And we will have a shit load of clones to play with after all of the pruning. So like I said, I think things ae starting to roll finally. Sorry this got off to such a slow start.
