dunno what the cfm is, im a new noob. It's a TT fan.
This is the second most important thing to know.....Huge variable.

View attachment 1035050

A - Ambiant temp at intake (this is A for a reason)
B - CFM rating of fan
C - Wattage of Light (assumes remote ballest)
D - Carbon Filter (I have not come up with a quanatative value, supposedly they do not restrict air flow do to their design).
E - Area of Passive intake

Assign values to the above and let's see what we have.

The Ambient temp of the cool air being brought in is 95*??????

This is the vent in a closet door, the air going into the closet is 68*

This picture answers A & E.

Your fan (best as this yank can tell) is a 325CFM fan.

We will get you fixed up, everythig looks great so far we just need to adjust it as we did with J.

Hey Kershivo if you pay attention and listen up to the changes that bonzi suggests then your temps will most definately come down.

He is just trying to gather as much information as he can about your setup before he draws you a diagram of how you should set everything up.

He is the coolest (pun intended)

i don't know the temp of the air going in.

I know the temp is around 24.5 degrees in the room.
OK 76* Air in, with 600w, and 325CFM your temps should be at 82* (28c). If not then one of your variables is off. Try taking the odor sock off and see if that was restricting air flow. All the pieces are there and either the sock is really restricting your air flow or your intake temps are higher than you think or both.

i would do the following and add some T5 HO 2700k side lights.

OK I have a hard time explaining it so maybe someone could help me out, but you want to measure the ambient temp of your grow room. That is in the shade out of direct light, what I found is if I cover the sensor (thermometer) in a way that shades it yet lets the air circulate around it.

I have a lot of air moving with 2 - 6" fans blowing right on the glass below the light.

Try shading the thermometer to measure ambient temp of the air not the radiant heat of the instrument.

Hi guys :)

Bonzi is the yoda of heat managmet FACT !

Bonz ... I'm gonna need you soon , I'm getting ready to switch lighing in my room soon ( still vegging with the CLF atm but got all the bits needed now ) I will let you know when the time comes .... As Kershivo said ... UK is having some mad weather spells at the moment ... north is rainy and cloudy and from the midlands down its red hot ..so temps are jumping up and down like crazy here ... hard to get a fix on an ambient temp.. it migh be X at 10 am on monday and Y by dinner time ... then Z + Y + X ... it really is crazy atm .

Makes it difficult to get any kind of solid reading .

Shorter ducting helps Kershivo ,But with your light and fan set up ...and the brit extream temps it will make it tricky to add much more of anything to your set up without raising a bit of heat ... just have to hang in till it starts snowing in september .... and you guys know it will :)

Good Luck

EDIT : Here's a story for you ...i was down the tip the other day , Happend to spot a pretty new looking Challange Porta air-con system ... Not sure if it was broke ... but it looked fairly unused and one would think if it had broke it would still be under warrantee .... anyways i dived out the car and was about to load it into my car ... And Mr Jobsworth come martching over , Gesturing to me like hitler to put it back ... Said " Thats the property of ( name withheld) County council " ..Pointed to a camera and said " If you take that you are being filmed and i will report you and have you arrested " ... Of course ..i told him he was a cunt and smashed the shit out of said Aircon unit while he martched back to his office saying he was calling the police .....

Now ..... correct me if im wrong .... but has the fuckin world gone mad ? ... everyone is screaming about recycleing and how we need to do more ..... i was gonna recycle the unit ... put it to good use ... and hitler was getting a hard on coz he has a nanogram of power ....crazy ... just plain crazy !

I am running an inline fan at 430cfm right now, temps are stable between 82-84 with low 40's humidity consistently. I'd like to add another 200+ watts of cfl's if I can manage to keep the temps down.

So if we are able to control our temperatures, is it ok too add more lights? I'm already running a 600w hps in a 2x4x5, recommended lighting was 2x250w (500w)

thanks in advance

ive had nothing but problems with the temps inside these tents! i have 3 2.4x 2.4x 2m tents with 3 600w hps running two rvk 10" fans sucking shit out of the tents, winter time was no probs but now the weather has gone mental ur about fucked tryin to add anymore light, plus you dont have much room as it is in then size tents u have bought.... only thing what you could do is run the lights on a night when its cooler or upgrage the fan so it pulls more heat out. or cant u just do away with the tent like i have and control the temps much more easier........ how many plants have u got in the tent https://www.rollitup.org/members/kershivo-254468.html

bajafox - yeah if your temps are ok i dont see how any light can do any harm!
