New Trend = Stupid Teens

Also, the only way someone would have a bad trip on DMT is if they resist the experience while under the influence of the substance.
By the way, I definitely do know how psychedelics work
You just proved that you don't. Psychedelics manifest emotions, experiences, and thought processes from the unconscious mind; if you were to have repressed or suppressed something terrible that has happened to you and it manifested during a psychedelic session, you could have a terrible experience and if you are not able to resolve the issue, it could continue to persist for quite some time after the experience. Maybe you should research some more.

Secondly, you can be allergic to DMT. The pineal gland produces DMT, but only releases the substance when you are in heavy REM sleep
Ah.. so you can be allergic to a chemical that is released when you go to sleep every night and enter REM?

You wont have a bad allergic reaction when you're in REM sleep because you are in a different state of mind.
Oh.. so if someone is allergic to bees and gets stung while they are asleep, they won't have an allergic reaction because they are in an altered state of consciousness?

Around my town this is called "hells bells". Its simply a bell shaped flower that if boiled into a tea gets you f*****ked up. Super intense trip. The only problem is to get a decent dose of the substance that you want to trip on you also get a possibly lethal dose of other poisonious substances. Bottom line is DONT DO HELLS BELLS EVER......

yeah kids these days are getting pretty dumb. i watched a news clip the other day about how teens are soaking tampons with alcohol and sticking them up their asses to get drunk....a few have died from it cuz it puts a shit load of booze in your system in seconds...

This is actually an ancient method of getting drunk. It dates back to pre-history and was learned of from rock carvings. Of course, the alcohol the ancients used might not have been a strong as what's available today. But they're still stupid teens.

Haha. This thread reminds of some commercial I seen recently had some song about chewing on jimson weed. I think it was like one of those travel to New Mexico commercials or something. I remember a bunch of kids doing that at a summer camp once come back to the cabins picking spiders and crap. One of them freaked out and got sent to the hospital. Never tried it myself.

I don't understand your reasoning faded2black. I would think you would be all for harm reduction; its not like the "drain cleaner" remains in the product if the correct directions are followed. Also "drain cleaner", being such an ambiguous term, are you talking about the NaOH? If thats the case you are against one of the simplest, yet most terrifying molecules known to man; which is understandable to an extent, but that stuff is nearly everywhere. It is actually a really good soap/clothing wash. ;)

Its not like I don't have access to the stuff already, I just think it should be shared with all. Are threads dedicated to links to DMT extraction write-ups allowed? I would really implore you to let us do write-ups of our own experiences with extractions at the least, floridasucks(I think) had an extraction, or many extractions, that I model my life after! :) It is definitely a benefit to all who want the information to have it all in one place, albeit google being a perfectly acceptable medium, I would prefer it being on here.

Peace

I applaud you for trying to appeal to his senses and experience of unwarented persecution.
I have certainly given up on trying to convince him there is a diffirence between good drugs and bad drugs.
I would know as I tried just about all the bad ones because there was no internet (or adults) I could learn the diffirence from.

Ah. I had some of this growing in my back yard. At the age of 15 I read a report of people getting high off it, so I broke open a seed pod and ate 15 seeds. Long story short I spent 2 weeks in a Asylum, and tripped for 3 days. Stay away from Datura!

Lol, datura is for people who aren't nuts enough yet.
Although a single seed with say cactus tea is a great anti-nausia measure.

Yeah - I have a 1 gallon ziploc bag of seeds I picked and intended to use. But after that I do not think I could ever muster up the strength.

Angels' Trumpet is also a common name for datura, someone may've said this already, but I didn't read the other six pages of replys... That being said, the actual number of people who poison themselves like this is pretty low. Ususally, during the summer our local news stations run a couple of stories about a couple of kids who almost died "just to get high," usually on foxglove or jimson weed, or you name it. Ususally these stories are greatly exaggerated, and are run purely to scare parents about some dangerous new drug craze (need I mention jenkum?). Typically you'll see interviews with a few of the most retarded looking teenagers the station could round up who say something like "yeah, a bunch of my friends have done it...." and maybe some really ignorant cop. Anyway, they run these stories every summer and the reality is there is no wave of kids doing datura, just a couple retards with enough information to be dangerous. News stations love alarmism and playing on ignorant people's emotions. Really, like 90% of news stories are like that (emotional drivel) - but that's another rant.

Dude, I know how bad trips occur. DMT has more of a relaxing quality, unlike many other psychedelics. The only way to have a bad trip on N,N-DMT is to resist the experience. For example, you may find someone that says, "I had a bad trip on N,N-DMT because something scared me." The real reason for that bad trip would be them resisting the experience because something scared them. Resistance is always the reasoning behind N,N-DMT bad trips.

Like I said before, one patient in Straussman's book DMT: The Spirit Molecule suffered anaphylactic shock (a life-threatening type of allergic reaction) from DMT. That is proof of someone being allergic to DMT. I've also heard of other people that are allergic to the substance.

Yes, you will have an allergic reaction. But that's a completely different scenario.

Dr.Nick you are partially wrong. There is a bunch of kids doing Datura, mostly where I live. Granted I started the trend in this small town - but adleast 30% of the kids in Grade 9+ In the only school in my town have done and or bought Datura from me.

First: I'll wager that your case is an exception, if indeed the numbers you are reporting are true.

Second: A family member of mine is employed by one of the "Big Five" news networks, I know firsthand, they love stories like this. Why? They can say practically anything they want and no one can refute it. There is essentially no data available, HIPPA laws guard against any actual medical details leaking out, and their estimates are nothing more than whatever they think sounds best. You can't argue with them, because the entire report is nothing but conjecture, and since there is no (or at the least very little) credible data out there, your argument will appear to be just as full of shit as theirs.

Third: If you're actually pushing datura to a bunch of high schoolers, at the least, that's highly irresponsible, and at the worst criminal. And I don't mean like selling drugs illegal. One of those kids ends up in the hospital or dead... I've got news, they are gonna crucify you, first in the media, and then in court. Trust me man, you won't have a prayer. You need to seriously consider your actions.

I did not mean to say I was still selling it - but back in the day when It grew in abundance on my farm, I figured why the hell not. I realise that the news makes up alot of their info - but it all has to come from somewhere, there obviously was a kid who tried Datura or else there would not be a report on it, not saying it was as serious as they made it out to be, but fuck if it gets parents to understand what there kids might be doing then by all means they have my praise.
