My Rockwool experience

I noticed if the Rockwool doesnt have alot of roots (only a few in the rockwool) and you put them in soil, It almost seems as if if i dont keep that rockwool watered the plants start to droop. Even if the whole bucket/soil is soaked with water it still seems if the rockwool dries out (within a day or half day) and there's still wet soil, it still droops unless i re water the rockwool.

IT almost seems when they are barely rooted and u put in soil, u have to keep the rockwool moist...


any inputs?

Keep watering... you have to wait till the roots find their way deep into the soil before they can benefit from the moist soil. If you just transplanted into soil from rockwool, it will do that to ya.. Just keep doing what you're doing. You just have to wait a bit.

so in a situation like this, THe best thing to do is just Water the rockwool and not the whole soil correct?

keep watering the rockwool for sure, keep the soil moist, but not soaked. the roots could start to decay from all the moisture.

you can use a root growth stimulant like root 66. there are alot of products out there for vegging plants and root growth.

What tends to happen is the soil wickes all the water from the CUbe so the cube dries out a lot quicker than it otherwise would.

Unfortunately if you dont have enough roots out the Rockwool it will take some patience and frequent watering in order to make sure that rockwool doesnt get sucked dry by the soil.

After maybe 7 days for sure you should have roots out of the rockwool.

Its not impossible to do what you are trying but you just have to have patience.
