 Before you invest in your CFLs take time to research them a little.

Make sure you add CFLs in the 2700k (red spectrum light) range (they are usually called warm color lights) to the lights you are already using and you will improve your flowering stage substantially.
You can look at the replies I made on CFL lighting in some other threads on this site for more details.

:hump: Yeah, I can see that!
I am sorry about the late advise.
I just started reading your post yesterday and I must have missed some pages. I didn't relaize you were already into multiple generations of clones in the bud room.

Very nice! Multi-stage growth makes for a nice sustained yield.

I will follow your threads more closely. Your project is very interesting.
After 30 years of playing at this I have picked up an idea or two on the subject.

I' ll keep you posted!

So tommarow is the very day of week 8 (56 days) into flowering, i already know they are not done, was just a hope, they look like they could have another week on them, maybe longer. will have pics up tommarow morning of some close-up's. my tops have mostly white pistills, very had to see any amber at all, but the lower branches look to be at about 30%.

I've also installed an indoor/outdoor hydro meter in my veg room, the outdoor sensor is placed in the flowering room, this records min/max's. now i finally know my humidity levels, they're arent any. my meter reads nothing until i mist my clones, then it will go back to nothing in a matter of 10 minutes, the flower room is also very very low. however i seem to be doing fine with this. this meter is also showing 90+ temps in my veg area, doesnt feel it and does not seem to effect anything.

Since i put my veg box on 18/6 lighting, i have seen very good improvments. I Think i'm going to hold to 18/6 from now on, when i find my camera, ill get some pictures up.

Here's a pic of the veg room, the temps here stay high when lights are on, so i thought some co2 would help out, thats what the 2 liter bottles are, these are under 4x 42watt cfl's, in a ghetto reflector lined with mylar, locked cabinet, pc fans for intake and exhaust, the clones are doing very well, 18/6 lighting schedule seemed to improve them more than 24/0.

and the hygro meter on the wall in there, also has a sensor in my flower room, records min/max temps/humidity levels as well, very neat tool.

This is a pic of the plant i chopped up to make clones, it grew back bigger and bvetter than even in 1 week, it has a branch 3 inches directly under the bulb, with no burning effects at all, check her out:

thanks for all your compliments, i will be creating a new journal within the next couple weeks as well, going to post a journal about creating my own hydro system, and seeing how much faster it is, or better..

russ0r,

Looks awesome. Hadn't checked your updates in a while; very impressive. I'm intersted to see how you approach the hydro grow (that's how I grow).

How many plants do you have under the 400 W HPS? What area does it take up?
