Outdoor Grow Hawaii

So, I started this plant indoors for about a month before transplanting outside on May 29th. This Saturday was 8 weeks outside. I am wondering from other Hawaii outdoor growers: When does this season finish? How is she looking? Also, in general, tips for growing outdoor in Hawaii. When the seasons start? I heard 3 short and 1 long. This is why I really only want to hear from Hawaii growers because it is different than most of the world with 4 growing seasons a year, or so I have read. Thanks again. These first pictures are of her on the day of her being planted outside.

Yes, they are all the same plant. Each of my posts has pictures from a certain time period (2weeks outside, 4weeks , and 8 weeks.) Also, all pictures in each post were taken same day/time.

Yours look nice, this is my first outdoor grow going the same time as my first indoor grow in my other thread. Just got medical recently. So, needless to say i'm still very much a novice, any advice to growing here would be appreciated mandigo.

Keep after it boys, looks good. Most places that grow cannabis have one season a year that they can grow this plant, they plant after it gets warm and harvest before the frost in the fall. We have that same season but it starts earlier and ends later, we also can grow over the winter our short season(plants tend to finish fast so can usually get two short seasons). The photoperiod here is such that if you veg indoors(24/0, 18/6) when you put her out, the outdoor light is close enought to 12/12 she'll got to flower instead of continuing to make leaves. Thats generally how it goes with a few exceptions......hope this helps

aaait make me extremely proud that more people are trying to grow outdoors in Hawaii. You are on your way to growing "green"! Growing indoor cannabis is nice looking , but it's anything but green!! On the mainland it's referred to as "Diesel Weed", and there is a reason for that name too. I'm not talking strain here either!

Your best bet is thru "trial & error". Just keep in mind, when it comes to nutrients, "less is best"! I will follow your progress and try to give you feedback from time to time.

Let me ask you. What island are you on, and what area are you growing in? If I know the general area, I can give you better feedback. Oh, also, what strain is your llittle baby?

yep that was me. But truth be known. I haven't had a weapon on a grow site since early 70's on Maui. It's a tool I'd rather not use anymore. There are better ways to scare ripoffs anyway these days. I'd much rather use animals to ward off indesirables, wouldn't you? Currently, I have three dogs, two "Bullies" and a mixed Bull that ward off any "butt worms" that wiggle to close to my ladies.. I really have no use for conventional weapons.

okay, let's see what we can do for your situation. So, you have a plant that has turned male on you. First you must truly access the situation. Is that male truly a hardy male? No sense in keeping a fairly weak plant around for breeding purposes just because the strain is awesome. The plant needs to be equally awesome in stature. You know you got a good male when he is in better shape physically than all your females. If your male looks weaker than your females, I'd consider just killing off male.

If you just wanna collect pollen? I suggest doing it the old "Hippie style" way. Just put your male in a secure place. Underneath your male put some white paper or something similar.(this way you just let pollen freely fall to ground onto the paper. Later just collect fallen pollen. Best place to put it is an old film cannister. Under idea situations pollen may be kept for months. Just keep it in a cool place.
Nowdays to many people are affraid of male plants. I'm glad you are taking the risk to better horticulture experience & knowledge.

It's just past 8 a.m. here. Been up on an all nighter. So you can imagine how tired I am right now. So I'm gonna rest, and will respond more later.

peace..

the male has kinda got alot of growth on the top of the plant and little on the bottom because it was under flouros and not much light was getting to the bottom of the plant. but yea other than that its a good looking male. but i dont want to breed it with my OG kush female i wanna cross it with a sativa dom. so yup rajah i will be collecting pollin im jus gonna wait til the sacs are about to bus open and pick & dry them. this thread really helped---> https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/20319-seed-production-tutorial.html
