Ok i have a space that is functional for me it is 5ft x 11ft x 8ft. i plan on splitting the room in half. This will be a half veg half half flowering. i plan on splitting the rooms up with a carpet of some kind completely sealed from each room from each others light. i dont know if the noise is going to be blocked from both directions (does that even matter?) the carpet/drapes is going to be functional so that i can slide over for working space and what not but also will act as a barrier. does anyone see a problem with this or forsee a problem>? thanks again for all input.

LOL. Last time I checked plants didn't have ears.

I would definitely split the room with some black heavy duty vinyl and divide the rooms to be 5ft X 5.5ft X 8ft. This would make a great grow room.

Sounds like it would work so long as you can be sure there is absolutely no light leaks. However a good grow room controls for humidity, and that might be hard to keep separated, since veg and bud cycles have different ideal humidity ranges.

Just a little bit of a crazy side note. Im sure most of you guys have hear dof myth busters? They did an experiment on plants where they played no music for some, and played different types of music for others, genres like classical and heavy metal. They found that music definetly enhanced growth and allowed the plants to strive while the others looked horrible. Anyway, come to find out they liked heavy metal the most. I attached the link, be sure to check out the end result (video 2)

This was put through scientific trials long before myth busters. If I remember correctly classical and hard rock (heavy metal?) had the largest effects.
