when the plants begin to sex, is it common for the males to have a fat leave grow from where the colas are prior to the seeds showing?? ill try to get pics with a magnifying glass. but im down to 1 plant left since the others all turned male with clumbs of seeds or they died off from being over nutriented. so i really want this baby to be kind.

Male plants don't have seeds - pollinated females have seeds.
Leaf growth is not a sign of sex - either way.

Post a picture of what you are concerned with.

ok i can see lil 'bunches' growing where i presume the nugs will be...but i dont see any of the trademark female pistils. just a single long leaf that looks like another leaf growing from..

Sounds like a male to me - if your others turned out male didn't they look like what you are describing?

Now that you posted the pictures - yes that is a male. Last picture does not show any sign of sex.

What did your other "males" look like?

those little balls are pollen sacs it's the male flower but that last pic looks like it's too early too tell which may mean it is female because male's usually show earlier than females.

k yea the plant of the first pics i chopped when i saw those. but this one is a different strain than the other so it isnt growing as bushy and the leaves are more long and skinny. also if u can look close in the last picture, theres a single blade leaf that is growing vertical, thats what im concerned about. because the other plants didnt have that, they just have the grape effect going.

Those are pollen sacs, not seeds. And the plants you tore because you thought they were males or had "seeds", were they the same looking? Because only females can get seeds which means you could have pulled females. If you have come this far you should have done more research on how to tell sex, because why raise plants if you will end up pulling the ones you want ( not saying you did, but it's possible). But yeah thats a male in the first 2 pics, not sure about the last pic since i see no balls or hairs, but i am assuming it's the same plant since you said you had 1 left.

ok the first 2 pics are of the same plant and yea i chopped it down because it had those all over. ive done my reasearch and came to the conclusion it was male. so thats fine. the last pic i put up i was just curious as this is a different strain so the growing pattern compared to the other one is different.
