Hi Heathro,

The Ez Clone jets have smaller orifice or ports for the nutrients to pass through. This is also true for the MLM-04 Misters that I liked best before I tried these Micro Sprinklers! Also please know that I have tested a array of other sprayers and misters, including some very expensive misters from eBay. None work as well as these Micro Sprinklers.

The Micro Sprinkler is designed to pass more liquid to operate the tiny gray sprinkler wheel efficiently so the orifice or jet is designed larger (wheel seen in the photo above). This larger orifice is much less inclined to clog with dirt and debris. To help reduce possible clogs I will add a slip-on pump filter today (a foot cut from a ladies stocking).

One can quickly see the difference in nutrient volume delivered from these Micro Sprayers with outstanding and abundant coverage ~ delivered right to your roots and that is what impressed me most! Also, the sprays hit more baskets and does so thoroughly. Now these are 360° sprinklers so some of the nutrients are sprayed back to the nutrient surface, but that's fine with me because it keeps the nutrients circulating better, top-to-bottom and there is still plenty nutrients reaching the roots anyway.

More good news, because the sprinklers pass so much more liquid there is less back pressure presented to your pump and therefore your pump does not have to work as hard. Smaller orifices constantly resist the pump/liquid pressure and your pump works harder because of it passing fewer nutrients to your clone baskets.
