i love you sleepy. rep for you. it looks great doesnt it? i trim probly 15-20 fan leaves out of the screen every day. i started trimming everything underneath tonight. thank god i have time tommorow. i can tell they are just about ready to start producing flowers. about 2-3 more days of training and they willl be ready to fill the screen with nugs. i am going to trim everything underneath the screen here in about 3-4 days. i started tonight and will be done in a couple days. we dont want any buds below the screen. just on top!

Yeah, I was a little bit lax with my trimming, and I am ending up with a few bad apples in the bunch. The buds up top on my screen are as pretty as they possibly could be, though. I can't wait to see the forest that pops up on your screen!

thanks mdgtptrl. man the work im doing right now SUCKS. its tight underneath the screeen and im trimming everything off the branches underneath. just tedious cramped snipping. dont matter tho. the tips are starting to get lots of hairs!

what u mean bad apples?
I mean that I missed a couple of budsites under the canopy, and now they are looking pretty pathetic. I regret not doing a lot more pruning early in flowering. I now have a few budsites that look like they're 2 weeks into flowering, and I am almost 6 weeks into 12/12. All that pruning you did is going to pay off big time! I can't imagine where my main colas would be without the girls expending a lot of their energy on buds that tried to grow in the dark. Keep us well updated!

im glad im doing the right thing cause it breaks my heart to snip off potenital budsites. but i think it will help the plants work on the main growth tips instead of the shitty ones like u said.

I'd be really interested to see pics of underneath the screen after you're all done trimming... Is it just the main stems leading up to the screen?

Trust me, you are not going to regret getting rid of them. I am now too far into flowering to risk stressing the plants. If I could turn back time, I would have stripped the bitches bare! Unfortunately, I was hoping for a lot more stretch than I actually had, which had a lot to do with the circumstances of my grow. I had an extra month of veg on one of my 3 plants, so I cut to 12/12 in order to allow my big girl to stay until the end of the party. My smaller ones were (and are still to this day) elevated on books. If I had scrapped my big one, I could have waited patiently to fill up my screen as you have. When I switched over, I prayed for a biig stretch. However, I don't regret it. I love all of my plants equally; and I think they are all going to treat me well. You, however, going into this thing well prepared, are going to kill. Keep going hard!

Are you using t5s. hhehehehehe
I feel like t5s were made to ScrOG. Even light distribution over a large area seems like it could make a ScrOG of champions! I have given a lot of thought into investing in t5s at some point. Light penetration is not a big priority in this method, so you don't need the big-watt high-lumen lights. If anyone is considering a new lighting system and has a penchant for experimentation... I hope he will consider this. I think the yield per watt would be ridiculous; although the initial investment of a multi-bulb t5 setup can be prohibitive. Someone go for it!!
