prepare leaves for rolling j's

So I am going through harvesting and while trimming the fan leaves I remembered that I could use them as rolling paper. Is there a specific process to go through? I was just gonna lay them out in the sun for a few days.

How are you going to roll them when there dry? I suggest you do it when there still a little moist.

I roll what I call a "Super Blunt". I use the outer most largest fan leaves as you would to form the outer layer of a cigar, using ground dried buds for the filling. Holding the thing together is easy, I use hash oil. I give it a nice shmear where things need to stick together, and then a small shmear all over the outside. Hang dry it until the outer layer is dry enough to smoke. You shouldn't need to do much past drying it out before you smoke it. Rolling it in kief is good too.

I was going to ask if you soaked your roll leaves in any water first.
I will post a pic by pic "How-To" this coming harvest. It takes a special touch. That, and I've rolled cigars plenty of times so it's easier for me.

that would be very worthy of a sticky in my opinion! :) Thanks :hump:
You're welcome. The hardest part is evenly layering leaves to make a suitable wrap. After that if you've got experience rolling delicate blunts (backwood experience definately helps) it's a snap. Check my current grow thread and you'll know when to expect a blunt thread. I supposed I could hack off some leaves to do it sooner, but I'd rather wait until it's actually time to harvest.

very very helpful, just wish I also had the mentioned kief and hash oil. You got a real weed depot over there.

It's all about variety. If I didn't have various extracts or different buds to choose from I'd have a tolerance above any. That and a good hash/honey oil takes care of things bud by it's self could never touch. And kief isn't hard to come by. At the very least, get a grinder with a kief screen. After a good few grams through that sucker you'll have noticable kief to smoke.

iv done this before...used a freshly clipped VERY large fan leaf and used the middle "finger" of the leaf and rolled some wet bud in it and tied it up with some string and put hash oil on it then let it dry for a few days and unwrapped it....it was awesome
