hey have you thought of using mh instead of floresents you will get a better yeald and that will help if you can only have 6 plants veging at a time more weed to smoke always better the more the merryer

I have totally thought about it and will ne a future upgrade but for the money i have and what i can spend im sticking with what i got.

Plus the 4ft flouresent was free cant go wrong

I did the ghetto aquarium charcoal too and ran into a nightmare once I got into stinky time. It didn't work. I made too large of a filter and it was too compacted w/ charcoal for the air to even push through. I bought a filter now, cause I was freaking out and tried ozone and the timer sprays, all to just be a waste of time and money.

should have the hydro system in a couple of days but trying to figure out what type of media to go with.

So ill tell you about my system im building than need some feed back on media!!!!

Its going to be a Ebb & Flow set-up

they will be side by side on a stand i built with a tank with nutes underneath the stand.

3 planst per tray so i have a lot of room!!!!!

the trays have a fill/drain fitting and a over flow fitting both with screens on them!!!

so i was planing on using 6"x6"x6" rock wool blocks 3 of them in each tray. But now im thinking what about the gap between the blocks should i have the Hydroton rocks so roots can grow out of blocks and have bigger yeild or just have all hydroton rocks with smaller rock wool or no hydroton
......i am frustrated lol.

Its a flood system and i will have screens for the pumps if you need anymore info about the system to help me out let me know.....

Well i think i answered my own question with a little more research, lol.

just fill the gaps with hydroton rocks for the roots to grow out for huge plants and thats what im looking to grow. lol

I know im lame and talking this up with no updated pics of grow room but in a week this thing should be going full-throttle!!!!!

I grow soil and I put hydroton in the bottom of my buckets, about an inch and I put some on the top about an inch to avoid wattering disterbing the soil. Good shit, I put it at the bottom to give better drainage. Spend the money and remember to wash the hydroton real good before growing in it. flush it out real good till you don't see any more orange shit comming off of them.

Yeah. I've tried hydroton, coco, and soil now, and I like hydroton the best. Just make sure to use some h2o2 and flush every 10 days or so.
